Well, that's how Space Marines should be compared to baseline humans.
Pasqal, Argenta and Yrliet are so much easier to use and have much bigger variety of items to make them insanely overpowered.
He's got, what, 2-3 items per slot, if not less.
This.
You can not balance a game with baseline humans, and a space marine.
And please don't upset the devs, there was thread after thread blasting them for making him so weak.
They gave us exactly what we asked for.
I for one like it.
On Daring i took AGES to win the Uralon fight. yesterday on Hard i won Uralon fight in 1 turn.
My main gave Ulfar 1 extra turn, another turn from metabolic overcharge. Cassia went next killed some mobs, got her ultimate put him on Ulfar, then it was Ulfar's turn and he killed the rest.
Easy peasy. Why ? Cause i got his blaster from the merchant that deals crazy damage, crazy critical plus they gave him gloves that reduce recoil.
I'm sorry devs but this patch MASSIVELY made the game easier and now ulfar deals the same damage for each shot than my sniper rifle guy does.
Honestly Ulfar should have had his own single class and been recruitable in chapter one. But arch militant just fits the role too easily so I understand why they didn't go through the trouble.
Great argument.
Pick the one thing that could conceivably give a Space Marine a run for its money, and then claim that means that people think the are way more powerful than they are.
Space marines are reduced in power significantly for board games, table top games, and most P.C. games, because GW have to sell other miniatures, games have to be balanced and fun.
They are pound for pound one of the most lethal things in the 40k universe, they are literally designed to fight and survive all the things that eat, destroy, annihilate baseline humans for breakfast/without breaking a sweat.
This is a RPG system, there are physical books for RogueTrader that this game is based on, there is also a RPG system that runs alongside it called DeathWatch, a SM from that system would be a significant problem for a Psyker to deal with, a Squad of them? not a chance.
Hence it is good to see finally, a real actual not nerfed into the ground SM from the RPG systems.
