Is there a specific place where you learn that they were working with him?
I assumed the stars there were meant to be the ones that were stolen. (cuz i already knew 40k lore that Ctan eat stars)
But all my interractions with the Drukhari made it seem like they were just doing their own things
Do note that while you mostly fight Marazais Kabal, the true culprints here are the Black Hearts who used Marazai and his stupid sister to do all the dirty work and get rid of them in the end. It is in Marazais story.
P.S. To explain better - the Inquisitor want the shard, but he lacks the means to chain and control it. Drukhari do. So he strikes the deal with them.
I was a Hereticus RT, so didn't question him too hard, since didn't care about his motives *I* wanted the Ctan, lol
Might not have picked the dialogue options that explained it, or just half skimmed it since it was a Lot of RT and i was getting to that 'lets get this finished' headspace by the end
But that does make it even funnier that the cult of the Final Dawn... were actually not at all connected to the final plot, lol
The name is just a complete coincidence.
