In terms of gameplay, is this game more like wasteland 3 or divinity original sin 2?
Despite the fact i do not like fantasy theme rpg, having turn base combat only, i have to admit i enjoy combat of games like fallout 1/2, fallout tactics, wasteland 2/3. Maybe it has to do with the fact, that they have an apocalipctic theme; I do not know.
Still not fond of turn base combat from pillars of eternity or WOTR.
In D:OS 2 i am getting rather quickly bored of combat but in wasteland 3 i am enjoying the turn base aspect of combat.
So i wonder, does of the WH 40k:RT is more simillar in terms of combat to wasteland 3 or divinity original sin 2?
Thanks for the info,
Cheers,

It's more in line with Wasteland 3 with some extra mechanics thrown in.

Nice, was also curious about it. On topic, is it difficulty , do you have to min-max stuff and carefully plan , read about enemies defenses/invulnerabilities and carefully plan before a fight or is it a brease?

it's min maxer heaven, if you'll have a build that wasn't sanctioned by Emperor Himself, you'll suffer. That's Owlcat schtick tho, bowing to power gamers and min maxers. Shame, that.

If you are good at making builds and you have a cohesive party with STI Officer(s) and Grand Strategist(s), you have to play on "custom hard" difficulty and still, the game will be challenging only in certain combats. However, if you don't know what you are doing, sometimes even normal will be hard. As for preparations before combats - no such thing as prebuffing. When the combat starts, reading the enemies' skills/traits is useful, but not necessary.

So i take it, that amount of strategy found in divinity original sin, isn't found here, right?
Length of the fights, of dos 2 really put me of that game.

If your builds are good and you are playing on Daring or lower difficulty, most battles will be over on turn 1, before the enemies can even move. I play now on maxed enemy hp/stats and decently raised enemy dodge/parry. I rarely go over turn 3.

in this game a fight is mostly like 2 turns. on normal i killed the final boss with only five people in 2 rounds. for me its vise versa, i played dos2 1k hours in coop but cant force myself to go into my third run, becasue the non existent balancing. 2 of the premade followers u will get can clear a room in one turn.
