Does anybody else think Cassia’s romance is a little bit creepy?
The girl is basically a sheltered pampered little princess with no life experience and by the voices you can select, we can pretty much assume our Rogue Trader is well over the age of 40 by the events of the game.

By rights our character would be at the very least twice her age and much more experienced/worldly. Having someone like Ryzza as a romance option would have been a better alternative I feel as the power dynamic would have been a little more balanced.

Thoughts crew?

Edit: I wish to state that I no longer have this rather moronic take on this relationship and that this thread can die an ugly death for all I care.

yes definitely well adjusted.....

I can only guess you missed the rest, as she tells you thus because it is how its done in her "home" Her personal assistant has been muted too. She even tells you why her house does it, as they feel human noices despoil the venerable ships.

The 40k setting has mystified technology, in case you weren't aware. As such it is done not to anger the Machinespirit of these ancient vessels. She explains this. She doesn't just demand the peasants to be muted. She expresses wonder at how different it is from what she's used to.

And vox are radios. It would be vocal chords.

also her emotions physically manifest outside of her control multiple times, maybe you need to replay the game.
Yes, any emotion she has manifests around her. That is what the story about the birds tells you. A mild irritation and disappointment leads to all the birds killing each other.

Considering she is aware its her doing she is remarkably well adjusted and not hiding in her room contemplating suicide for the good of humanity.
nah i didnt miss anything. still doesn't make her "well adjusted" by any standard.
same as most of the other characters. i think there's more depth to the character that you are refusing to see for whatever reason.
also immediately equating "mentally unstable" to suicide is way off the mark

So you purposefully and disingenuously ignored context in order to suggest she wasn't well adjusted to her circumstance. Gotcha.

Asserting it without evidence after admitting you disingenuously misrepresented your last "evidence" doesn't lend your position any more credibility and considering you are admitting to argue in bad faith i shall dismiss your assertion

Given your track record i doubt you could back this one up either.

Or maybe i don't try to read things into the character that has no basis for it.

I didn't equate anything.

i suggest to replay the start then. She is socially awkward due to her sheltered upbringing, but her reasoning is very sound.

Sure, her correcting spelling mistakes or telling a psychopath to unburden himself are naive and indicative of her sheltering but emotionally she is sound. Both interactions are her asserting her position and testing your RT if (s)he measures up. She is very confident in herself from the get go. Even though she expects being abhored.

It's a tradition in her noblehouse, you don't need to like it, but if you grew up where it's normal you can't fault them for it.

well adjusted to her circumstance is different from "well-adjusted", i see where you're taking the goalposts though.

Guys, Cassia is so unstable she kills about half your crew just by trying to give them life advice, which is incidentally what would happen if you ever got life advice from a sheltered teenager.
When did she kill 12000 people on your ship and what did you do?

To misquote a great movie: I don't think that means what you think it means.

Deep down it’s probably why they like her. I mean I get it we all are attracted to things that are no good. My particular weakness is Donner kebab, which is why I am a fat bastard.

But you Cassia stans, we see you. 🤔

i know what it means, i also wouldnt trust to quote a movie since you seem incapable of engaging with media beyond the surface level

Might have travelled through the warp a few times in red but like I’m gonna blame myself for that. She can cop the fallout.
