Trying to Get Ulfar
I have never gotten even a brief bit of conversation with Tervantias about Ulfar, but apparently I'm supposed to give him stuff in trade for Ulfar? I am almost done with Commorragh, and I do not know what I did or didn't do wrong... I don't actually want him in the party, but I am interested in any story details he adds to the plot.

The dialog option that leads to being able to negotiate for Ulfar's freedom is "Master Tervantias, I require a moment of your precious time, and I am willing to pay for it.". Choosing this option requires you to have and costs one recovered body component.

When I use that option, it just gives me three choices: two different options allow me to buy stuff; the last one lets me recover from injuries.

Make sure you talk to Ulfar; maybe you haven't unlocked the option to free him because you haven't done that. You may want to avoid offending him too much... it might be possible to lock him out as an option, but I'm not sure.

Also, you said you were almost done with Commorragh, but you might not be far enough along yet. I wasn't able to free him until Tervantias was packing up his lab to move to a safer place. If that hasn't happened yet, you may need to do another arena fight before you can get Ulfar.
First talk to Ulfar, "sing" some songs with him and then talk to the Fleshmaster.
I freed Ulfar after the first arena battle and my two companions (Cassia and Heinrix) after the series of the second battles.

How do you even find him?

I gave up eventually and just advanced the plot. My Rogue Trader is already an arch-militant, so I don't need another.

Ulfar is in a cage to the right of the path as you are walking down to talk to Tervantias, just before the hanging privacy barrier.

Ulfar said I smelled wrong, and wanted nothing to do with me.

I don't think there's anything you can do about that, except go back in time and be less heretical.

Why is he not even on the map as an NPC to whom you can speak? BRUHHHHH. Owlcat has made a great game, but it has some quality of life needs.

I hadn't really thought about it, but that is a good suggestion. I always spot him because there's a magnifying icon above his head when you hold down <tab> (while near his cage), and I am constantly hitting <tab> to check for loot.

I also hit tab a lot but I just must not have done so near him... That's annoying.

Cassia also just randomly started speaking to Ulfar even though I have never talked to him... The dude is back in the Anatomical Opera.
