Just like how Argenta doesn't BLAM you every times you put on a Heretic equipment.
quite a few times she has told me how close she is to shooting me, to the point i don't bring her along anymore
But still, she should have shot, it makes no sense, this is her feeling for you affecting her job.
EDIT: There should be a cool sidequest in Act 4 where the Dogmatic companions stage a coup to retake the ship against Heretic RT and you are forced to kill them IMO or capture and brainwash them, make the Heretic consequences bigger.
The Halo Device is a very unique item, so some people could be annoyed they could not use their reward.
But remember GW stance on lore : "All is canon, not all is true"

ok. the source is specifically from "Dark Heresy: Disciples of the Dark Gods", a game made by "fantasy flight games" which acquired the license to make a gw licensed game.
make of that what you will.
I've never even heard of that game. I won't chastise owlcat for overlooking a detail from an obscure game.
personally, it doesn't make sense to me why ancient xeno acheotech would care if you are a heretic or not. Or that every halo device would follow the same set of rules. It was probably just a detail from that game added for balancing purposes. But its on a wiki now with a source cited so i guess its cannon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Even then the Halo Device ,if bonded ,is going to make for a very harsh, dark and evil end for the fool that wears the Halo device.
It is not an obscure game. Dark Heresy is part of the published rules that Fantasy Flight Games put out to allow role playing in the 40k universe.
Rogue Trader, which is also by FFG is the direct rule set and setting for this game.
They published several sets of rules of differing power levels.
Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, and Only War.
All use the same basic rule set, with modifications for power level.
Cubicle 7 acquired the IP when FFG was purchased by a competitor of GW.
They put this excellent game rules in the closet and introduced their own Wrath and Glory, which is not even remotely as good as Dark Heresy, Rogue Trader and the rest.
All that said, all the creepy xeno tech and especially Halo Devices are unholy!
They don't like the competition for unholiness!!! lol
Peace
i mean... the original Rogue Trader, and origin of the setting is by Rick Priestley (and Jervis Johnson and Andy Chambers, and a whole bunch of other people from the og GW) back in 1987.
yeah I'm waiting on this fix
