I also love that "Suspected Intent to commit Treason" is a crime, Not "Intent to commit Treason" (That would be a more severe crime), but the mere suspicion that you might have the intent to commit treason means that you are already a criminal and its punishable by public familial execution 1 generation removed.
So in the grim darkness of 40k you are kinda f'ed no matter what.
