Ulfars Inability to use Adeptus Astartes Equipment?
Hi, I'm a little puzzled why Ulfar can't use Adeptus Asartes equipment? Have an Adeptus Power sword but it says in the info it cannot be equipped as it "must not have features". Any comments or guidance is appreciated as I would lke to use Ulfar in a more Melee orientated role.

Thanks,

AKL

You should be able? give the name of the sword? Please look into the sword and requirments that the sword have, both have and don't have. Otherwise repot it(in the report tell the complete name of the sword) and the problem.

Hi, following up on my query and your reply. OK; so Ulfar is a space marine and should be able to use Adeptus Astartes Equipment. I have numerous items of equipment that are labeled as Adeptus equipment such as the "Auto Striking Power Sword" (Chap 4) but it is unable to be used by him. When you examine the weapon the bar with the words Adeptus Astartes Equip is in red and above it has a comment saying "must not have features". Any ideas out there as I am baffled .....

Cheers,

That means it can't be used by him. Not that it can.

Meaning that if you have Adeptus Astartes Equipment or anything under must not have features you cannot use this armor/weapon. So this isn't a bug but working as intended.
In this case auto striking power sword cannot be equipped by Marazhai / Yrliet or Ulfar.

There is a bug in current version that Ulfar (and CSM too) sometimes spawned without proper talent to use Astartes gear.

UPD. You're right about Auto-Striking Sword too.

You got it wrong buddy. Auto Striking Power Sword is not Adeptus Astartes equipment. How they coded in the game is that the sword has a trait that your character that equips it cannot have the talent "Adeptus Astartes equipment" which the line is telling you. It doesn't tell you that it IS Adeptus Astartes equipment but that your character cannot have the talent "Adeptus Astartes equipment".

it's pretty confusing, just a positive requirement should be enough, the "SHOULD NOT HAVE" is a pretty programmer's thing to do, and you can't expect all players to be programmers

I agree it's not very clear in the UI. I doubt it will be changed soon with other bug fixes taking priority but I also made such a suggestion under bug report.
