Can someone explain how to recruit Chorda?
I'm on my Dogmatic run, and when I got to Chorda in the Atrium I was just short of Fanatic, which I got by picking a Dogmatic option whilst talking to her. However, I'm extremely confused as to how and when I'm supposed to recruit her.

I've seen some suggestions that you can talk her down when she goes to the bar, but I never got any Dogmatic options in that conversation and I had to kill her. Siding with her instead and fighting the bar patrons seemed to make her happy, but she didn't join then, either.

I've seen other suggestions that you have to convince her that what she's doing is contrary to the Imperial Creed, but I can't figure out how or when you're meant to do this.

I remember from my Heretic run that Winterscale showed up to be recruited at the end of the Act, so it seems possible that Chorda will do the same, but I've got a fair chunk of game to play through before I get there and I'd rather not have to do it twice.

Can anyone share the correct method to recruit her as Dogmatic without any vague statements?

If you are doing an iconoclast run you need to talk her down from killing everyone at the bar and make her repent. She will take off and pray for awhile and come back come back to your ship at a certain point and joins you. No idea if you can recruit her as dogmatic but you certainly can as iconoclast.
I did it on Iconoclast following the above example. Talk everyone down, convince her that she's being self-serving rather than devout, and she will ask you to judge her. You can then tell her to go into exile, and she will leave but return when you depart for chapter 5 and ask to join you. She has no voiced lines and no dialogue interactions, but has a unique Origin which has a stat-replacement feature.

Hmm, well I was hoping someone would know, but I'm going to cross my fingers and hope that when she went skipping happily away after we lobotomised Vladym and turned Ryza into a greasy smear on the floor that was the Dogmatic version of recruiting her and she'll pop up later. I have backup saves and bloody-mindedness if not.

Fingers crossed!

Play it in a year or so when the major game-breaking bugs have (hopefully) been fixed and DLC (hopefully of the free variety) comes out

There might be several variables, so I'm not sure that it's guaranteed and especially not with iconoclast. Obviously, with Chorda, you would want to take the dogmatic path all the way. I believe the game then selects depending on your morality: if you go heretical, Winterscale (a Khorne lackey) will join you; if you're dogmatic, Chorda will. Not sure how the game selects if you're iconoclast, perhaps it's skipped, considering her philosophy and hobbies?

Well, I did load an older save to check this, so you owe me a prayer to the Emperor. I had to do several battles for this, so Pasqual and you should praise me. But not as much as the Omnissiah, of course.

This is for the dogmatic path, so no guarantees about iconoclast and it might very well be that this option will not appear if you are anything but dogmatic (seeing Chorda's preferences). Travel to Porta Septentum, where you will fight a void battle. After your victory, another battle will immediately take place on your bridge, against Aishara (Lord inquisitor's aide). Once done, exit to the void bridge and immediately a cut-scene will play: one of the two RTs will come to your bridge, depending on your path: Winterscale if you're heretical (I think) and Chorda, if you're dogmatic. In any case, only one will come. You exchange pleasantries with the RT, then ask your factotum about the state of your ship and the next dialogue option will be Chorda calling for attention. Then you select "It will be an honour for me" and there you are, she is now a part of your crew.

Once again, this might very well be only available to the dogmatic RT and a very advanced dogmatic path at that. No guarantees about it working for the iconoclast path.

Done run for all 3 paths. For Dogmatic she will join you at same point as Ironclast (I was expecting winterscale tbh on my ironclast run, but she joined then following the repent approach others have already outlined for ironclast run), towards end of Act 4 just as you transition into the final act. I followed same path you did on Dogmatic, I expect she will look to join you towards the end of the Act, likely you just not made it far enough yet is all.

I side with Chorda and is a Dogmatic good boy, she didn't join me but I left her in control of the Expanse while I was away.

I do not know if you definitely need to or not, so many variables. Putting in spoilers in case But I did make an ironclast food exchnage towards start of the game, then went onto kill the Leige / Pirate Governor in the bar and she came along fine act end of Act 4. On an ironclast run, you can let Leige live perfectly fine then at the bar battle with Incidia put her in exile and she will join you at end of Act 4 also as others have mentioned

So unironically Chorda is an iconoclast companion lawl.

This makes sense she's actually incorruptible (no option to corrupt her to Chaos).

I persuaded Chorda to leave and take a vow for an iconoclast, but her Hieronymus attacked me and died. I don't know, should it be like this?

Yep, as I understood Hieronymus attacks in any case if you don't side with chorda.

Just to add: I am almost sure that you have to discover the secret around Hieronimus and the Cyro-Tombs and fight him so that Chorda rethinks her behavior....
