Also, you can get rep from some higher end colony projects, but generally they require you have hit a minimum rep with that faction already, so I think the idea is that you pick one factions, dump cargo on them, and then get the last few levels via colony projects. ... Assuming you've planned ahead and built all the prerequisite lower level projects.
AND, if it's your first time through the game, you might not realize there are more rep levels than you initially see in Acts 1 and 2. You can more than max a faction in Act 2 and think you're good to dump everything else on somebody else. Then you come back from Act 3 and realize you're maybe halfway with that first faction and wish you hadn't spread your Act 2 cargo around.
I can understand that, but the navy prestige its way harder to get and only gets one kind of cargo, I really dont see how I could have gathered more than I did
How do you do that? I was just using toybox to get the gear I wanted but rep gains would be easier.
It's under the Bag of Tricks tab.
- explore every location with high perception and loot all boxes (chapter 3 gives a lot of stuff, don't forget to explore and loot everything)
- sell stuff based on reputation values: 500 / 300 reputation are always your priority, so don't sell your 500 rep stuff to a faction that pays only 200 for it.
And finally, planetary developments can give massive amounts of rep, I think it goes up to 20k per top tier project. So choose wisely.
I suspect I can max the two stores two by farming Dark Eldar weapons, didn't bother tho.
Each faction pays the same for an item. An item, say Xeno-Artifacts which goes for 500 RP will go for 500RP at all factions. Ranged Weapons which go for 100RP will apply to all 3 factions that accept them. So your randomly selling did not massively hurt yourself. Unless you was near the max level of a faction then did a big project on a colony that would have been wasted RP.
Still in my game I got so much Void trophies that I can't sell (Navy rep maxes out too quick), what a shame.
