I cannot get new chart routes and it wont let me save navigators insight
I am stuck. I cannot get chart new routes unless I spend all my navigators insight down to 0. So I am stuck running back and forth for the last two hours on yellow jump routes trying to get an event that will give me enough insight to pay for a route to a new system.

I mean you cannot chart a course through other star systems. And that you need to open new routes.
Sorry, I do not understand you at all. Direct routes simply connect two systems whatever far they are.

And as I said there is no star system that isn't linked in the game.

Those two in particular become linked after the plot requires you to visit them.

I wanted to say you can get to any system in the game, I think by taking a path, even if the path travels half the map to get there. There is always a red line linking any system to the rest. There is no unconnected star systems that you must spend nav insight to reach there. Anymore.
Sorry for how I talk.

I think I visited them early in the game by plotting a new route, to be honest.

Frankly, a developer should first consider what a given mechanics even contributes to the game. I never run out of navigator's insight, but I've found the entire mechanics only to contribute to how tedious space exploration is. The warp travel events were repetitive, the warp combat encounters were boring. That you apparently have to farm those boring events if you run of points is not good design at all. There are two other rogue traders in this system, which I assume also travel using navigators, so you could for example buy charted maps from them.

Oh, you totally can visit them early - but the game also spawns a red route after you have to go to Euphrates, just in case.

Yes, it seems you are right and red routes appear eventually for any previously disconnected cluster -- other person is also telling me this. So I misremembered stuff even though I think I used plotting new routes to get to those systems near Footfall before the plot provides a route.
My apologies.

could you please chech whether there is a red route to the system you need to go? Such route can be hard to spot on the map? If we are talking about Act 5, you need to use a portal.

Fights are so repetitive it is borderline ridiculous. at least you can send a crate of weapons (or holy gifts but its value is way higher) or a demonic machine from Kiava to avoid playing them.

overall, it is poorly done.
