I don't know for sure because he was pretty determined to make the best of this situation, and I'm not sure I could have talked him down even if I had wanted to.
Interestingly the idea of an entity formed of the collective minds of Mechanicus members was a key point of the Forge of Mars trilogy, didnt end well with the Gestalt mind entity basically going around lobotomising smart people to add to its brain jar collection.
-the galaxy needs amarnat
-we need Pasqal and the weapon (this is what you are looking for)
-this is evil and should be destroyed
Be warned he doesn't remain Pasqal, instead he veers of into fanaticism and becomes Mechanicus Doctor Doom, except even more evil and inconsiderate.
He discards Abel as no longer useful, for a start
This is because in the Amarnat collective he was responsible for Judgement and in that second choice he embraces it fully
Also remember you prior conversations, as in prior to the quest, across the whole game, influence his decision on the matter.
What I found weird is that no matter which i chose, he still went Pasql With the Weapon. I loaded it, ran the fight 4 times, and chose each dialogue and it concluded the same way. This games behind the scene flags are wild.
Kill it.
Kill it with fire.
