Or just kill the trash in front of the boss so they don't get extra turns from the boss, then kill it.
Though if you can't do it on story mode I'd suggest taking a look at your party, and looking at some documentation online as to how to build a character to make it at least viable in story mode.
Because Ulfars mechanic prevents him from using cover, he always got targeted first...
Space marine, Angel of the Emporer, Genetic modified super soldier in best armor and weapon humanity can remember to produce... tends to get "one shooted" by the poison salvo...
But after reloading a few times, I just positioned him right in the middle, which caused the dark elv leader to move to the side, to shoot him, killing 1 and harming another of her melee pawns.
I then used him simply asdistraction, and run down to the 2 abdominations bellow the stairs, While Abelard was distraction for the remaining melee pawn, Argenta and Yrliet with strategist zone skill, that makes them the lowest priority target, slowly deleted the abdominations, ariving pawns and then the boss.
I survived barely in the end, only Argenta and Yrliet where alive, as I started sacrificing every other team member, so the 2 can continue shooting.
You only get access to the people you got kidnapped with, the fights hard but you can beat it by making a funnel with the stairs, use the space marine as your front line, have him use his chainsword he almost always parrys the incubus attacks this also makes the archon shoot her own men. Use the rest of your team to pick off targets and span support abilities
Because nearly every enemy acts before you, you cant really reposition yourself down of the stairs, additionally, the reinforcements that arive will get stronger, if you need to much time.
At first they are easy one shot kills, but later they become dark elv melee pawns.
That boss had the nasty habit of triggering an extra turn once damaged, so what I did is taking out the rest of its henchmen and once the battlefield was cleared I concentrated all efforts on the boss.
Yeah but like... I beat it in less than 3 full rounds (on Normal, to be fair)? Just kept stacking buffs on my MC with a Plasma and killed the mooks (I was 2 shotting the Grotesques for the most part). By the time I actually focused on her she only took like 3 or 4 shots to drop, including the self heal to full HP part. I sat at the top platform and barely moved, except for Abelard running around and parrying everything.
Neither Incubi nor the boss herself never acted...
Was pretty simple to finish her and the turrets shut down then, end of Turn 2 and a part of Turn 3 were dedicated to the remaining monstrosities
Only Yrliet went down as she didn't succeed dodges vs the monsters attacks, rest of the team barely took a scratch
Daring difficulty
Yes Cassia is broken OP
