more female romance options please! Have mercy on the dogmatic players.
Since I am playing, mostly, as a dogmatic noble, I would love to have more romance options.
Any chance of getting Sister Argenta, as a romance option? The sisters of battle aren't adverse to romance, even if the emperor comes first at all times in the lore, as far as I know.

At the moment romance option in regards to women are:
a xenos (unacceptable. Suffer not the eldar to live!)
a mutant (I dislike her claws especially and even is she part of the navigator nobility I don't see that naive mutant, as a romance option.)
a hereticle psyker (no. no chance in hell)
and a criminal xenos artifacts smuggler (NO! She should be jailed or executed, not romanced!)

"heretic psyker" - i WISH.

I agree, the xenos is unacceptable.

Sister Argenta is allowed to not want to bang the player, though. I heartily support this.

Idira isn't romancable. So no heretical Psyker love interest choice either.

A dogmatic character would see a relationship with a member of the Navis Nobilite as extremely good. They're essentially royalty. And while they are mutants dogma does not hate all mutants, just unstable mutants (which navigators are to be fair) who do not serve a purpose (which is what allows the navigators to get away with it). Navigators are heroes who have a relationship with the emperor (through viewing the astronomican) and spend their lives battling the arch enemy.

Also no, sisters of battle CAN NOT have relationships. A vow of chastity (as they are the brides of the emperor) is one of their basic rites.

Also do Heretics get a romance option, since Idira seems to be non-romancable (which is wierd since she shows up as the heretic reflection's sidekick)?

Outside of Marazhai? You can still romance companions who didn't left. Jae and Cassia to be exactly.

I was thinking of female options. There is a male option for each alignment, assuming you can romance Abelard.

Only men you can romance are Heinrix and Marazhai. But Jae and Yrliet are available for women as well.

No he wont. Or even more clear - no SHE wont. Members of Navis Nobilite house are unallowed to have romantic relations with anyone besides other Navigators. And there are a bunch of reasons for that:

1. She is mutant. Sanctioned one, but still a mutant. In the universe, where planet's population could be destroyed simply because the DNA is too unstable or has too much mutations comparing to "pure" human DNA any sexual relations between human and mutant are simply unexistant

2. Due to degeneration of Navigator's DNA over time, + closely related ties between members of one house (this was possible in past) their "species" is kinda close to totall anihillation. Due to that, all reproductive ties and marriages are under total control by the rules of houses.

3. You possible progeny will be burn right after birth, it's gonna be a horibble and dangerous mutant.

So be alone - is true dogmatic way :D

Hmm. It is refreshing to hear that the entire party isn't desperate for the PC's genitals, like in some other games.

Though personally I avoid romance in RPGs as a rule as it is always clunky and awful.

I think Argenta romance will be kinda out of character for her. The girl has serious issues and other things on her mind
Morgian Jan 8, 2024 @ 9:01am
Nonetheless, you can woo Cassia. I don't think that the navigators will say no to a genetic improvement by another member of the high nobility. And it looks as if rogue traders stand above navigators if the behavior of the Orsellios is an indication. That should make them acceptable in any feudal society.

Edit: romancing her is a bit of a courtly ritual and takes a while (until act 4).

Romance does not mean reproduction. Also navigator-non navigator progeny is not mutated, it is actually normal (well kind of, some products have them have other types of non normal characteristics, but they are not "half navigators" or anything). That is part of the lore for why they're so inbred. All of the genetic changes that make navigators what they are are recessive and so do not manifest when they mate with non navigators (IIRC that's not how actual biology works but...). That is also why their reproduction is so heavily controlled, to try to keep concentrating the recessive genes and so make more powerful navigators.
