I think the first grown up flamer is found as a trade on that 'unknown voidship' on the first open map, which turns out to be the pirate faction. But that is it for Act 1 - 1 flamer, some pistols and 2 plasma pistols :(
Edit: Oh, there is this weird hybrid pretend plasma rifle in the Monastery on R-Minor but it shoots lightning instead, still, it *looks* like a plasma rifle :)
Oh sweet, that is cool - I only made it to the Parade this afternoon then swapped my GOG Demo version for a paid Steam versionas it is payday - so that is really good to know as I was making Pasqal Plasmerie (It was my fav weapon type other than Melta back in the 90s tabletop).
As for the flamers - as Emperor in one of the previous gigs, the one after the Greek general job, said - whatever you are fated to do anyway, might as well get it over with. As in drop a 10-15k rep in each faction and 200 in your chosen morality with toybox - it does not work and makes no sense otherwise, even after patch
Plasma rifles come later and stay mediocre in my eyes. The only good one is also kinda broken and requires high faction with the correct group.
