Heinrix disappeared

Hi there,

I finished act 3 recently and the companion Heinrix which is a solid member of my active retinue disappeared. I expected to find him along the way like the other companions but he just never appeared nor did anyone ever mention his existence.
I eventually managed to find dialog options about him at the f'd up flesh scientist who claimed he is too valuable of a source to release. Later after winning the arena he said its too late anyway and I can take him with me now - but he was nowhere to be found. In the entire dark city - I checked before and after every phase - there was never any new NPC or dialog option that enabled me to get Heinrix back into my party nor have the Space marine join me. No idea why the NPC mentioned he was there at all because I couldnt see him in any cage or elsewhere.

Act 3 is finished now (tough fight with a missing member and regenerating boss) and he's not aboard my ship. Where can I find him and is he lost forever now?

Heinrix disappeared start act 3 and couldnt be found. Where is he?

After winning the arena after meeting the flesh scientist.
On the left side of the room (facing the flesh scientist) there is a Xeno Pain machine which you can use to free Heinrix from it.
if you didn't free him then he's likely dead.

heinrix is gone for me in act 4, and he wasn't in my party before act 3 and was NEVER in act 3 to be saved

If you did not bring him to act 3, he cannot be saved in Commoragh, as he never was in there.

The only way he isn't with you in act 2 is to tell him to leave your ship I believe. Otherwise he sticks with you as the eye and ear of the inquisition.

He was in my retinue, but not in my party before the ambush

now he is -nowhere-

Only those in the party can be found in Commoragh, not your whole entourage. The one reason why he might leave you, is that you may have become too heretic for him. But then others should have left too, like Argenta.

I'm telling you it ain't that. he was on the ship before, and now is not there when starting act 4

I have no way of checking if Heinrix can be found in the Dark City since I only have saves before and after that point but none inbetween. But good to know, I'll return to the early beginning of act 3 and see if I can save him. I like him.

Since finding him I have been looking for a working airlock and sabotaging his build.

i told the main inquisitor i wanted heinrix to come with us. I made the mistake of saving after that and now hes gone. unbelievable.

Is the druhkari next to the pain machine dialogable for you? You need to talk to him so he leaves and you can get Heinrix out. It's not obvious

this is so dumb, I have to basically play the act3 again because i missed to free 2 members...♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥. I am not gonna do that

I know this is a late reply but I'd like to leave it in case someone has this problem in the future. I missed freeing heinrix in chapter 3, and wondered why he was not in his usual spot on the ship in chapter 4. So I stumbled into this thread looking for answers on what happened to him. Unfortunately I was met with the harsh truth of my own incompetence. I did however figure out a way to fix it without too much trouble so I don't need to replay the entirely of chapter 3 again.

To fix my mistake I used the Toybox mod and clicked the Unrecruit(add works too) option under Heinrix in the Party submenu. This summoned him to the ship and immediately launched into a scene to start his sidequest. After that scene was done he was standing around where he usually does and I was able to add him to my list of active members when leaving the ship.
Also, while I only did this fix for Heinrix, it should work for any/all of the other companions you may have missed saving- so long as they had been recruited into your party. That is to say, I don't think this will work for Ulfar if you missed him.

Please note that I am posting this fix shortly after doing it so I do not know what effects, if any, it will have in the end narratively,

After scouring the internet for any related posts, this is the only one I could find. My Heinrix vanished in Chapter 3. I talked to every NPC in the lab and nothing happened. I even asked the fleshcrafter specifically about Heinrix, and the camera panned over to show an area with nothing there. I walked to that area, and there was nothing to click on. I crawled over every single inch of the fleshcrafter's lab, mousing over and clicking everything. There was most certainly no Heinrix. After an hour of reloading and trying things out, I just gave up and moved on. Heinrix wasn't even on my list of NPCs in ToyBox! It was like the game bugged out and just erased him from my game entirely. Not even an option to reset him in ToyBox. I have no idea how or why this happened, do any of you?
