What rewards does the heretical quest “call of the edge” offers?
Currently playing an iconoclast Psyker, just curious what the heretical path offers.

Force Sword and companions, though you lose all dogmatic default companions.
Iconoclast don't have these problems.

I adore how many people on this forum are like "I thought he's suppused to be Iconoclast..."
...
Like, really? You are told right to your face that the guy has changed and now only cares about killing dangerous prey and picking fights. He also resently slaughtered a planet on some minor suspition. What part of his betrayal is surprising?

If you want to play on the edge and roll the die if you die or live yes it is a good force sword. Perils of the warp is dangerous even for chaos . But to get that sword you need to commit to the heretical path from the beginning when you choose convictions.

So what secret companion does ico get? I get you build both dogmatic and ico you can get Incendia, but Calligos and Uralon are gated by heretical conviction.
And I think not taking the silly kill them all heretical conviction and siding with Calligos against the Eldar including Yrliet.

Does someone what you get if you choose to serve the big chicken nugget? The swords stats look nice for pure psyker but his promises of knowledge seem enticing too, yet you don't get anything afterwards - just empty meaningless dialogue again?

@Deadshot Iconoclasts can get both Incendia and Calligos. The latter can be redeemed.
@Dethbirb iirc he betrays you at the end in the true Tzeenchian fashion.

I couldn't find dialog to redeam Caligos even if I make peace between him and the eldar. Even if I convince him to repent. So either side with him and loose Yrliet.

Me at the start of chapter 4... "wonder if he's a follower of Khorn"

Winterscale: Blood for my throne...

Me: For your throne, buddy I think you mean...

Calligos' buddy: Blood or the Blood god!

Me: yeah that.

Yeah I couldn't persuade either Rogue Trader to change their ways... I tried... but they had to die.

Not die, Calligos still lives and still redeams himself. But Calligos isn't recruitable at the end of act 4. Only Chorda for me. Despite high ico levels.
