Argenta quest bug or am I missing something?
On the final planet of her quest, she just leaves the party and later tells me - in so many words - that she now understands why she failed. What is going on? Failed what? What was supposed to happen?

If this matters, she is dogmatic 3 (200/300) and my RT for this run is Icoonoclast 4 dogmatic 1.

I believe Argenta's success/failure and subsequent actions depends on what you have been telling her up until that point. You've had various opportunities to give her feedback about her actions, her faith, or on the others members of your retinue while she is around. Supposedly she succeeds or fails on that mission based on that feedback.

If you tell her she's foolish, dangerous and arrogant and generally question her faith, she fails.

If you stoke up her faith and encourage her to be a merciless zealot, then she succeeds (I think) and leans into that.

Or if you respect/encourage her faith while also encouraging her to be merciful/open-minded, she succeeds and comes out as something akin to a Sororitas Paladin. (I don't know much sisters lore, I'm cribbing D&D terms here). That last one is what happened with me.

Unfortunately I can't point to you any specific instance that is responsible for this outcome, its more like a culmination of small moments.

Ok, thank you. I have no idea what I did that would have had her fail per your explanation but at this point i'm just rolling with it. Maybe I will see something different on another playthrough..

Argenta isn't unique in this regard. Several characters will behave in self-destructive ways if certain things are or aren't done. Argenta just happens to be a more obvious example because a lot of people are understandably put off by her zealotry and tell her to cool it.
