The project Dark Sages truly is Capella Biologis in all but Icon, name and description only (and listed requirement for T3 project).
The improperly labelled/described "Dark Sages" Project has:
- Capella Biologis requirements (mech parts, xenotech for Magos/Tech Priests to start up new healing research. No Kasbal rep required which wouldn't make sense).
- Gives Capella Biologis bonuses (it's all about learning new medicines. First aid kit rewards fit that)
- Leads to Capella Biologis Chronicles of the Protectorate events (Tech Priest flavour).
- Its also the requirement for Mechanized Servants (again, Tech Priest flavour), which also lines up with Capella Biologis (Tech Priests).
The same applies to the improperly labelled/described "Capella Biologis" project which is actually the real Dark Sages. It requires Kasbal rep as the description for Dark Sages hints at etc etc etc. Everything works as though it is the true Dark Sages and has all the proper Dark Sages requirements, events.
The problem is that someone possibly got confused which one was what (probably started with icons) and swapped info on Sages and Biologis at some point. They need to be reversed but functionally both projects work as intended if you ignore the incorrect stuff listed. As long as they fix just the names and descriptions and don't meddle too much with the mechanics of both, everything will be fine for all playthroughs. Hopefully Owlcat understands it's a very simple fix. i reported a fairly heft bug report of this if it went through.
I got so confused at the swap that I didn't realise the rank III requirements actually "made sense" with regards to the actual projects mentioned! I also alt B-ed but figured a forum post might garner some exposure to the issue
It took me like 20-30 minutes to figure it out, for sure, in order to bug report it lol. It is indeed very confusing and why it was probably never caught. I can't remember if it was the same in Beta though.
Also I'm never sure if my bug reports go through personally since my first one for early Pathfinder Kingmaker (when I got a reply to clarify the report a bit more). Since then I have had no clue and some things I reported in this game's beta still carried on into release. :/
