Calibrated Stubber or Heavy Bolter?
Stubber's got higher ROF and damage, but worse recoil, range, and armor penetration. For right now, chapter 2, I feel like the stubber for general aoe, and bolter for high armor targets and for Argenta's ultimate since she's got that thing that makes her single bolter shots always hit. can't decide which to use, because I'm dumb and forget I have more than one weapon most of the time plus I feel like her flamer should see more use.

You can get Argenta Compensator Gloves from Void Fellowship faction and have her completely remove recoil from weapon.

Depends on your build, but generally Calibrated Stubber is a better imo. It's much more AP efficient, higher RoF allows you to stack crit damage and Agility faster and benefits more from flat damage buffs. There are some endgame bolters that are probably better, but it's the better weapon for most of the game. If you run it on a psyker Melt Armour with higher rof also compensates for lower armor pen. For Argenta it's a closer call but I would still say Stuber wins.

I also thought so but Ironically regular boltguns have more better scaling mid-to-late game variants. Hyms of vengence and They Shall Weep let her melt even late game damage sponges

Neither of these are "midgame", and Hymn of Vehemence has awkward positioning requirements and rof increase talent interactions so I don't like it much. They Shall Weep is strong, but only cause it's bugged.

My testing I felt the Heavy Bolter was a little better than the Calibrated Heavy Stubber, and then you get an endgame Improved Heavy Bolter that's even better.

It's also cooler than the boring stubber. If you get the blessed bolter case you can wipe the map of any low HP enemies as well, and you get some incredibly good stacking bonuses with certain talents/equipment.

'eavy Bolter.
MAYBE the 'eavy Stubber is better, but the Bolter looks more stylist and fits Argenta style better.

heavy bolter. You need that armor penetration.

That has always been how you spell 'eavy in 40K.
'eavy Metal!!!!

But yes, imagine Ork weapon proficency, more dakka for the Imperium!
The fact that there is no ork content is a bloody crime. Also I would take real necron storyline and content over eldar any time of day and night. Imagine Necron Lord as a follower.

Ork is probably DLC.

But what will be super sad is you can't use their weaponry (oh well, at least that has precendence).

Get so drakonian in ork eyes that you get to use their weapon just because of their belief that you are a cool "honorary ork". As our poor boy Yarrick intended.

Also keep in mind that Pasqel's machine blessing? reduces recoil. Combine that with the half recoil item, and recoil stops being a big thing. If you then get a bit of inspiration from your tactician and the perks and feats that give critical % and crit damage % with every shot, you should be good with either.

The nice thing is, you can use either; they both use mostly the same skills, esp. if you have the origin with the weapon personalization ability, so if you run into heavy armor enemies, use the bolter, if not, stubber.

And, the scope for DLC's for this game is awesome, and I am looking forward to it. :)
