I was glad they changed the name from Benevolentia to Iconoclast. Not only is it a better descriptor overall, but it allows you to more easily RP say a pirate character that's not necessarily super good, just believes in freedom from dogma and religious practice.
Oh well, Owlcat giving everyone the best fantasy ending, I guess. Can't wait to see if there will be some mention of our dynasty in the sequel/the next Warhammer 40K game.
Oh yeah, that RT who shags a fish.
Like I said in some spoilers above, even the slides for the Iconoclast Nomos ending are not perfect. The Koronus Expanse is basically a Hermit Kingdom/Enclave that's on its own. On it's own to develop and innovate new ideas and technologies with a god-like protector, but still alone and cut off from the rest of the Galaxy. you're not taking on the Imperium or anyone else to bring peace and harmony to the Galaxy.
I won't spoil too much, but I have seen off hand remarks about Dogmatic Nomos ending and well... If there was ever a merciless entity of order other than the God Emperor himself reincarnating to smite the enemies of the imperium, it's dogmatic Nomos lol
Anyway, being an isolated hermit kingdom where you LARP as the freedom lord, you ain't the first nor the last, usual consequences: you either rejoin the Imperium for protection, or you fall to Chaos/Xenos/Imperium re-conquest.
Possibly, but it may take the God Emperor (i'm one of those people that thinks the god emperor coming back, would be a bad thing lol) or the Chaos Gods themselves to bypass Nomos' protection. By that point the entire Galaxy is screwed anyways as the Koronus Expanse is a sliver of a sliver of the Galaxy way off the beaten path and is not a priority. Might as well live in the Koronus Expanse where life is good... ish. :D
Anyway, too much spoilery I guess, I will discuss more when I myself encounter the ending slides.
Praising a great game who won game of the year is "trolling".
You probably think is some woke culture game that is degenerating western culture or something like that?
It's also worth remembering that the 40k setting was never nice. everyone and everything in it is bleak by design. Trying to make it happy happy joy joy is missing the dam point. You can be nice but you will get exploited and everyone you try to help will end up purged anyway so yeah. the tag line tells you all you need to know in the far future of the 40k millennium there is only war. That's war not arguments on social media about how peoples feelings got hurt. entire planets get purged regularly. and that not factoring in the nids.
I know you think Fascism is everything you do not like, but taht is not what Fascism is, nor is 40K fascist.
Most IPs are already super lefty, this is one of the few ones that is not, so go back to Star Trek (whose new shows not even hard communists like), Magic the Gathering (which has lost all identity and is now another amorphous, modern morality fantasy tale), D&D (yet another amorphous, modern morality fantasy tale), or Star Wars (your brand of politics made it a joke not even you can enjoy).
Get filtered hard, and wallow in agony.
He is C'tan. They are indeed vulnerable to the warp as they are basically completely real world anti warp entities. While the Chaos Gods are completely of the warp and why they use agents in the material world. The thing about Nomos is that he has god like powers so good luck to anyone/thing trying to get close to him to use warp energy to kill him.
C'tan were basically a race of unaware star eaters who's power were noticed by the race that became the Necrons. The to be Necrons took these star eater things and gave them form (I think they were kind of like space clouds if i remember correctly). When they were given cybernetic form, they gained awareness and were ever hungry. The to be Necrons wanted to use them in their fight against the Old Ones, but the C'tan tricked them, turned the Necrons into Necron servants and ate their and other races' souls instead of Stars because they were juicier.
Now the thing to remember is that while they're vulnerable to the Warp, they're basically pure Necron technology in god like technological form. That's why Nomos [/spoiler] Is able to instantly wipe out I believe all Necron Tomb Worlds across the Expanse and instantly put up Wards vs. an attacking Imperial Fleets. Also remember the only thing that was keeping Cadia, Cadia and preventing the Eye of Terror from expanding and the Great Rift being created, was the Necron technological wards vs. the Warp on the planet.
Who's to say that the Nomos Wards are not the same technology, basically keeping Chaos at bay? Edit: The C'Tan I think went into hibernation instead of dealing with the Chaos Gods. Like Vampires or Dragons being selfish and saying "nope i'm out!" I can't remember if this was forced hibernation due to the heightened presence of the warp, or just a choice not to waste their time on an unwinnable war. Nomos is different and in Iconoclast ending, very protective of peoples. He also seems to do ok vs. chaos in dogmatic ending.
