Okay guys so hear me out
I know that Vistenza is a filthy Slanneshi gal, and I could get EXP and gear from fighting her and her demons. And she's got that whole torture-pleasure cave behind the house.

But on the other hand, she's intelligent, cunning, loyal, and manages the huge tracts of land under your domain quite nicely.

So I'm waffling between doing the right thing or putting up with a little heresy in trade for long term 'benefits'.

(♥♥♥♥♥♥' She-Who-Thirsts indeed)

If you're playing heretic, go nuts. Otherwise I don't think you get an option.

Also, just a thought, is she really that loyal is she is actively colluding with chaos cultists to get your people killed? You just came from Minoris, how did that turn out?

But hey, stay thirsty I guess.

...♥♥♥♥. Yeah okay you're right. I saved the techpriests and commoners on minoris. This world isn't on the verge of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ itself inside out and I'd like to prevent that.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alright okay I'll do the right thing and stop being horny.

If you feel bad about it convince her at the last moment to betray the cultists. There's an actual etude triggered and you basically save her soul before she gets offed. You miss out on the loot (which is basically just a persuasion ring + a basic weapon/armour), but you still get 210 exp I believe that way.

You can do that? is there a specific thread of dialogue, or is it just getting her to recant and repent?

You have some dialog options when confronting her. I think Iconoclast gets her to shut up and realize she screws up, but it's been a while so I don't recall.

If he's even debating this he is already playing heretic in my book, regardless of whatever lies the game is telling him.

Even playing as iconoclast, the path forward is clear.

Both Iconoclast and Dogmatic would be hard-pressed keeping her alive/in power particularly when you have an Aeldari, who knows better than any one else the threat Slaanesh poses.

Even from a Pragmatic view after being filled in on the nature of a Dark God, you'd put your hands up and go, "No Warp Aids, thanks".

But if you're Heretical, go right ahead.

Yup, iconoclast choice. You basically compare her to puppet that thinks he is puppeteer.

they should have given us the option make her a companion. honestly best looking character so far
Cutlass Jack Jan 1, 2024 @ 12:25pm
She does have some very nice tracts of land. I must admit.

Honestly, the fact that you can only keep her alive through a heretical choice is so stupid. Why can't there be any skill check to shoot the assassin? Am I truly to believe that we went to stop a potential Slaanesh cultist without weapons at hand? Scratch that, am I really to believe that the inquisitor in training is so incompetent that he waited until the secretary stabbed the governor (depriving him of precious clues), then the secretary would gloat a bit, reach for the remote, and seal us away from herself?

All the while, a person capable of turning another from inside out with his mind can't do a single thing? It feels like a bad case of a DM who refuses to make the journey any different than they envisioned.

Probably because assassin is staying behind her back?

We have Hendrix (can have at this meeting). Whose entire job is to stop situations like this, and he not only has mental powers but also knows that the governor is guilty as sin. So he is prepared and should be alert. He can boil organs with a thought. Am I really to believe that he is that incompetent that he stands still like a mouth breather while the secretary goes all stabby, gloats, and presses a remote to run away? What good is he if he can't handle such an easy situation?

On touch if I remember his story. But in any way - assassin is a psyker too, so it is not that simple.

He's still human. It's Yrliet who should be quick enough to act (and Ulfar but we lack access to him).

I stand corrected then. But there is also a certain companion who is apparently the fastest quickdraw in our entire team. Nope, don't do anything either. The point is, we have an entire team that knows that the governor is potentially dangerous and who all fail to raise their weapons.

Our entire crew comes off as idiots in this situation, because at the very least we should have been able to shoot the murderer before the wall goes down. This whole segment is very badly railroaded.
