Kiava Gamma or bust?

So after leaving Footfall the game tells you that Kiava Gamma should be investigated first.
I went to Janus first as it was the closest one.

After dealing with problems on Janus I went to Kiava Gamma, and noticed that well I can't do it because of the enemy ships guarding it.

So is it true, that going there first is preferable and not doing it first you should do it last because no way beating 5 ships with lvl 1 frigate and no real upgrades it's possible to complete this fight.

Janus - Dargonus - Kiava is the recommended route me think.

Yes, but I was wondering if I went to Kiava Gamma first I wouldn't have to fight this insane space battle?

I don't know if it makes any difference in terms of some major changes story wise etc. On my first playtrought I went to Kiava Gamma first then Janus then Dragonus. I had a feeling that Kiava gamma should've been investigated second because of the difficulties I faced there somewhat, but I did complete it nonetheless then went to Janus. So based on this I will probably go to Janus first on my second playtrough, in addition to easier enemies you also can build a VERY USEFUL project early on, that provides you with Trauma clearing first aid kits...

Space combat is definitely very challenging and somewhat unfair early on, pick only the easiest encounters first so you get the rep up with the Navy. I don't remember exactly how difficult the combat is with those enemies above Kiava Gamma, but if it is.. then try to find easier fights so you can all around level up your ship..

Don't think so...then again, I haven't tested it.
