Drukhari Splinter Cannon
So this is a heavy weapon, right?
It needs STR 60 but the talent which reduces the requirements to STR 35 doesnt work on it.

Feature?

I think it isn't Tagged as a heavy weapon for some reason

Thats my question.
On purpose or not? Makes no sense imho. Wanted to try it on Jae but getting her to STR 60 is pointless.

Either the weapon, or the heavy weapon proficiency feature is bugged OR it's a deliberate nerf owlcat don't explain, and have done so by making the strength reduction not apply to exotic weapons (without saying so).

If you open it up in toybox the splinter cannons have the same tags as (for example) a calibrated heavy stubber, for the things that involve heaviness and handedness. I couldn't find any difference between the splinter cannons and the other types of heavy weapons.

They also benefits from every other heavy weapon related perk.

But for whatever reason, Heavy Weapon Proficiency doesn't apply to the three splinter cannons in the game.

In update 1.0.88 they adjusted other eldar guns to make them two-handed, so I suspect they know Splinter Cannons are bugged, they just don't know how to fix it yet. Or don't want to.

Ok, thx, we will see what the next update brings. Maybe items cant be heavy and exotic at the same time.

Its not Heavy, its Exotic.
get your Str to 60, no shortcuts!

Its still worse then a heavy bolter though

They fixed things, now none of the weapons that would count as "heavy" get the -25 str requirements. Heavy Stubber no longer counts as heavy and still requires 60 str to equip.

Really, what patch, just now?

Dunno but I just noticed that all my heavy weapons no longer count for that ability. I can no longer equip heavy stubber, any of the splinter cannons or etc because they still require 60 str to equip regardless of talents supposed to reduce them. I just got that lifestealer splinter cannon and wanted to equip it on my str 35 heavy weapons prof and both Xeno weapon prof using RT.

Naw, dawg, I just load up my save.
I definitely can still equip the 'eavy stubber with 35 str with that talent.

Does it still say you need 60 strength but it lets you equip it anyway, or does it actually say you need 35 strength?

None of the weapons has a label saying it counts as a heavy weapon. We can only experiment and check the combat log if the talent for heavy weapons does fire or not.

They are vague with what counts as a heavy weapon as hell. The annoying thing is that its clear a lot of them are bugs because the base version of the weapon has a 60 str requirement but IS effected by the talent while the named super version is exactly the same except it isn't effected.

there was a point during alpha or beta where darklances were one handers...I think atleast one is still bugged.
Strength reducing talent seems to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up for many people. In my game it seem to work only for main character.

Its like grenades, half the time they work and the other half they do 2 damage no matter what kind they are or what they are hitting.
