Anyway, I got the inheritance.
I announced my arrival so I guess I don't have the option then?
As my original post states, I am currently faced with-
If you give it to the girl, the servitor is also taken care of by the priest.
However if you kill the pirates, only the servitor is taken care of.
[Issue being, they should not be mutually exclusive. I should have the option to punish the pirates for what they did to the woman and give the inheritance to the grand-daughter.]
If you choose to kill them you get the option to leave the girl and her father out of it because her father isn't actually a pirate.
Anyway, you can kill the 1st mate, and then give the money to the girl with her father.
I still think it's a stupid thing to do because you give like millions of dorrars for a 12 year old girl. Anyway, it probably has a nice ending slide but I'm not taking any chances.
Yes, I want to do this. I also want to kill the pirates though. It doesn't feel right hearing them make light of what they did to the Repentance & its crew and disregarding it. Especially since 'its in the past' is a lie- the chaplin is the only one who's retired, unless the first mate and his crew are stopped what happened to the servitor woman is only going to continue.
Someone said that you can get the good ending and kill the pirates if you arrive incognito, although I'm still not certain that is the case, he could have just been confused as to what I was trying to accomplish.
We don't know the future and father of that girl is already @#$% jerk so I have 0 trust to that family.
Be that as it may I consider it a positive, because he likely won't hurt his little girl if she doesn't suddenly inherit a bajillion dollars. I suspect a lot of people we consider 'good' would kill you if it would set them up as royalty for life.
To get the actual good ending, you need to play icognito and don't play pretend.
I still think the good ending is too good, so I choose the money/profit path.
When you say he tries to rob and kill you- you're referring to a separate event encountered after the fight? I sent him and his daughter away without issue when the killing started. Are you certain he comes back at a later point to try and rob me?
I play the igconity and pretend Fillio part.
Oh wait, before that party already has poisoned wine anyway, they want to kill each other to get the inheritance.
Ah it sounds like an incognito thing then. The quest has concluded and he is alive for me. Thanks for clarifying, was worried there.
