Saving the Doomed (Act 4 ice planet quest) (Spoilers)

What steps do you need to do to complete this quest? I saw the scout getting chased, saved him, told him to mark the location on my map, which he did, I went there, there was some dark elves punching a guy, they then killed him, I killed them, then nothing happened. And when I try talking to the scout he just tells me that he hasn't moved. I have cleared out the rest of the map at this point.

There is also a chest that shows up on the map which is not actually there in game. If I put my mouse over the correct area my mouse cursor turns in to the "open chest" cursor but clicking it doesn't do anything. This may be related.

I have seen posts people who had the same or similar issue and fixed it by leaving and then reentering the planet but unfortunately that hasn't worked for me.

One medusa enemy in marked area is actually the third guy, you need to talk with him (he's not marked or highlighted but cursor will change to dialog over his body) and remove some xeno things from his face.

I did that, though I forgot to mention it.

As far as I remember, saving medusa guy completes the quest, but I'll check it later.

The guy mentioned having a couple of friends he wanted to rescue but other than the guy who gets killed, who I assume was one of them, I haven't seen anything of the sort. Did you interact with any other people while doing the quest?

No. I thought first scout will open that locked door in spire, but quest just ended after I saved his bro.
Second bro (who was tortured by drukhari) also survived. I think you must run to marked area asap to save him.

So to complete the quest you need to:
1. Save scout.
2. Run to marked area, save tortured guy.
3. Save medusa guy.
That's all, no more survivors.
