Are blood ravens loyalist Word bearers or Thousand sons?

Considering we have close to zero info in the lore on their origin, I would say neither.

That said, if they were to originate from a legion, I would say thousand sons, because they are very similar.

most signs point toward loyalist thousand sons, the only real voice *against* that was aaron dembski bowden who said that a loyalist chapter from a traitor legion sounded like somebody wanted to make their character sound more special but adb is kinda notorious for doing the exact same thing even worse, being a *massive* chaos and abaddon fanboy, and generally abusing his friendship with a (now former) editor to ram through whatever he wanted

Lots of loyalist traitor legions became Black Shields or (for the most part) Ultramarines

My money has always been on Horus. Thousand Sons have WAY more psykers, they aren't as religious as the Word Bearers, and their wiki states "tied to a dark truth related to the Horus Heresy."
