So you can lose your team mates because Act 3 is ♥♥♥♥?!
Played act 3, i think we dont need to talk about how... "nice" this one is but somehow i cannot get back hendrix and the Space marine because.... bugs?! Talked to the guy who keep them and he said i can have them back but nothing happens.
i thought maybe i will meet them at the end in the Void Tower but now 5 Hours later im on my ship without them.

Damn this game has more bugs then Cyberpunk

I see your problem.
You need to go to the Drukhari in front of his cage and say "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy."

yes thank you.
Thats the point that didnt work for me. Even as people guess, i wasnt to stupid to read. i was in front of hen...heni... hendrix cage. i knew he is there (because i read some guides too) but i could not interact with the npc that gives me the option to free him.

Same story with ulf the wulf. i got the bone?! key and i knew this thing is for releasing him. but there was no way to interact besides speaking to him and asking how he is doing. In any case people now want to tell me "....you need to talk later to him again" how the ♥♥♥♥ should i know that. i got a key to open a cage, why do i need to open a cage later if i already have a key that can open a cage directly. the only reason is because game is stupidly designed.
Thats why i continued playing in hope that at the end of act 3 i will find them on my ship.

in my second run i didnt have any of these bugs. i could speak to the same npc that i wasnt able to speak before. so i released henennendirx.
i could use the key so i released ulf the wulf.
i finished act 3 with all my npc friends...

to just get a new bug that i dont get the follow up quests for act4.

First i didnt noticed it. but after a while flying around it looked odd that i dont get the status reports that a got when i left act3 without all my npc friends.

so i needed to reply act 3 a third time and again i got could not find cassie because she wasnt where the guides and everything told me where she should be.
Leaving her was ok for me.... and again im confronted with the bug that i dont get the follow up quest for act 4.

Im still softlocked in the situation that i cant continue with act 4 because there is no act4 quest.
Fun fact for that somehow all the updates for my colonies are now for free and instant build. all my planets are now fully upgraded and i have more ressources then anything.

You guys can tell me what ever you want like gid gud or mimimi you are just noob. If i need to play a game that carefully and exact to not break it, to get all my followers back, its not a good game its just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ buggy piece of software.
Im not angry or try to wine around. i just impress my self with a lot of sacasm but its just super disapointing to not be able to play a game where i payed a ton of money for.

Act 3 is a hot mess. It's very nearly quite cool, but it fails because the game mechanics don't really work for the story they're trying to tell and it ends up tripping over itself in all sorts of unpleasant ways.

Which, of course, means more exciting opportunities for bonkers bugs.

It took me multiple reloads to work out how to fully get Heinrix out. I managed to fail to rescue him after rescuing him. Yeah.

but could you continue to act4?

i atm try to find a solution why i get stuck at the point leaving act 3.
The only diffrence in my first run besides that i now get all my companions is, that i (sorry i cant remember the names of the npcs now) i killed the Aeldari leader that is imprissioned in the Maze before the final boss room. in my second and third run i could pass the check to get the true story what happend to the Aeldari and both times i killed him after he told me what he did. in the first run i failed the check so he traveld with me through the webgate.
Did you kill him too?

I was lucky enough that the big stuff like springing jimmy worked but it was still a buggy mess

I think I played through Act 3 about three times before I managed to get through it unscathed enough to keep going. I had to re-play the final arena fight many times in order to get things mostly-working. Even then, some stuff just ... didn't work. But at least it didn't cause the game to come to a shuddering soft-lock halt.

The time I managed to rescue/not-rescue Heinrix was not one of the times I made it through into Act 4 without the wheels coming off.

Note: this was before the latest patch. I've not tried it since, I'm taking a break from the game to let it settle a bit first before I start a completely fresh play-through.

So, in my experience, this chapter is really poorly constructed. It isn't immediately clear that you need the loot items you pick up throughout the chapter via skill checks - and if you failed those skill-checks and missed out on them, you probably aren't going to have enough to free your friends.

I ended up completely restarting chapter 3. Second time around I freed everyone.

And yet it was glaringly obvious to me on my first time trying it. The act isn't poorly constructed. You are.

I apparently got them all because I didn't even realize that was a mechanic until reading the forums. Like yeah I knew he was looking for body parts but the dialogue choice doesn't really make it clear you are paying him in them just to ask about your companions, let alone free them.

I can't believe im going to have to go back hours to get the space marine because i didn't work out what arcane nonsense the game wanted me to do to get him. Act 3 really is just incredibly trash.

You and your friends travel abroad and decide to split up to have some fun.
Days go by, and two friends are missing. No one knows where they are.
Days run out, you're at the airport, and both friends are still missing.

OP goes home, and then blames the airplane for his friends not being on the plane home. ;)

Your friends are kidnapped in a prison world, and YOU decided not to free them. :D

'arcane nonsense'. you mean conversation?
G Willikers Jan 3, 2024 @ 3:27am
An extremely specific conversation sequence that you have to drop any sense of roleplay for in order to pull off, yes.

He really isn’t worth it. He’s got a knife and a bolter and is out damaged by any of your melee or bolter characters at the point you get him. He also has about as many hit points as unbuffed Abelard but because of his size is basically impossible to miss with burst fire. His power armor is also very underwhelming, so when you first get him he’ll spend most of the combat dying and getting used as cover. He also can’t use cover which makes him even squishier.

I guess there’s a reason he got captured by the space elf pirates. He’s a glass musket.

He talks funny though. Good to have around for that alone.
