There us a lot of quests and rumours broken in the game. I love owlcat and will continue funding their projects early but I just accept the jank as part of the charm.
I was in the top right corner room. No cache. No cogitator gives it to me and it's not in the goods I find.
It's not a data cache, it's a cache as in a hidden collection of items.
Oh so like the fire ring I found in that room and the other stuff in there was the cache - ok cool just wanted to be sure.
I guess it's just a reminder.
van Daynes cache and Theodoras caches are cleary two different caches. Or they should be, anyway. I did not find van Daynes cache (thats why i am here) so i cant confirm whether its bugged or not but i can tell you that opening Theodoras cache is not going to complete rumor about van Daynes cache.
(Posting this for anyone else having trouble finding van Dayne's cache. I'm also assuming you've already cleared out the rest of factorium)
At the center of the rotating bridge where you first see the big spiky toaster dude, go East then North, up the stairs with a big downwards white arrow painted on it. Just be aware that there will be traps here if you haven't cleared them yet.
Keep going North until you're in the segment with the big crane hook. Head East until you find the big cogitator. It's hard to miss thanks to its big screen. Interact with it to lower the bridge and voila - Captain van Dayne's cache of useful junk and early-game level weapons await you.
The bug is also fixed btw.
can confirm this information, its not bugged, but you need the access codes from the destroyed ship event beforehand, you lower a bridge with those access codes and a secret room behind the bridge in the further most north east corner is ready to be looted, rumor also completed for me, thanks :)
