Impossible to max out reputation, even one?
So I am at the point where the game displays the warning screen for the "Point of no return"... Now, I explored probably everything there is to explore, completed every ship battle etc... I locked myself only out of Foulstone apparently because I never really knew that it was an actual potential colony that you can manage... I mean my highest reputation is with the Fellowship of the Void (45.500) which is lvl 14 and they have 35 levels which I cannot even imagine getting in the first place... Was I supposed to invest ABSOLUTELY everything into them or what ? Did I miss out half of the game because I never colonised Foulstone ? What's going on here?

Remember there's two DLCs planned.
I don't think it was intended to max any of them in the base game.

That is incredibly stupid design choice then. Why just not leave it at like lvl 18 or something, then add accordingly with the expansions......

I sure hope that's not the case, because those DLCs don't come out for 6 and 12 months.

I have over 70000 reputation with Drusians after Act 2. You just did it all wrong. You pick a single main faction and dump all possible cargo to them, and build all of their related projects in their colonies. All the remaining things go to the rest.
Count the Imperial Navy out of that rule, as they have their own unique cargo types for reputation.

Obviously, I though that you can be somewhat flexible, but it seems to me now, that you must make a choice between the 4, but don't accept certain cargo. If what you're saying is factual then that's it. But I must say that I think that they somewhat rushed that whole system or didn't think it trough, seems to me like there is going to be a kinda of a full "rebalance" of that system in the future..

You shouldn’t try to max out every vendor. Pick one, go hard, loot everything and turn what you don’t want to use into cargo. You can max out one and get really high /max out another by chapter 4. Also, buy everything and turn what you don’t want into cargo

Devs said they will readjust conviction point gains throughout the game. Chances are something similar will happen to trade reputation as well at some point.

Ohhh yea, I picked like maybe 4 Iconclast options in total, thinking that dogmatic options were too over the line from the lore standpoint, but yea I couldn't reach Fanatic - rank, let alone Zealot which I don't think it's even possible...

No - dev did it wrong as no way in hell you should be able to predict:
a) shops will be upgraded in Act 4 (and it's also absurd lore-wise).
b) you're barely have enough reputation to max 1 shop out of 4. Being able to max half of shops that's what be expected.

So if you were caught by surprise (like most of us) - don't hesitate to cheat a bit with ToyBox.

Well I suppose I could take up on your advice and use Toybox, and maybe I may to get a couple of items from the "lower ranks" but If Chapter IV is the last chapter then it's whatever. But thank you for clarifying the situation

I sincerely hope that I don't have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ replay the entire way through with my iconoclast again. Don't get me wrong, I want to reply the game, but I don't want to feel forced into replaying the SAME ♥♥♥♥ I ALREADY DID. sigh. How, How do you ♥♥♥♥ up simple math this bad? Specifically for the convictions. Reputation gets crazy, but the amount you need is asinine compared to what you get from your loots.

89k? I'm scratching that with 500 per cargo at best. That's not even max! You should *easily* be able to max out 2, and max out all 4 if you 100% the game. My god, I haven't complained much about this game, not even the bugs. But this? This is absolutely poor design, worse than whoever thought of the burst fire weaponry.

The game is simply unfinished, the more I played the more I disappointed I was, this was not the case with Wrath of the Righteous which I absolutely loved and completely Base game at that, and I don't believe it was this messy when it released in terms of mechanics and stuff like the reputation system is. What you're saying is true, Whole Chapter 4 I just found enough holy gifts and other stuff to get only 2.5 k rep with the Drusians. Now I believe that you shouldn't be ablo to get every single one of them to 100%, I respect that roleplay perspective, but now, you can't even max out 1. It's very bad, very very bad....

Wrong. BG3 is example of "unfinished game" - story of whole companion wasn't available on release (and whole story is stupid as a @#$% as healing her heart would require just a 7-8 lvl spell).

RT is complete, but very buggy in last 2 acts.
