Bolters are Bolter class, and Stubb weapons are Solid Projectile.

I'm trying to be nice when I say this, but you can look at the weapons stats window where it tells you what class of weapon a weapon you are looking at is in the top corner.

Haha, thanks for being polite then.

determined by the tag listed on the weapon itself, yes this means that currently some weapons get no "expert" talent

Solid projectles are autoguns, shotguns and stub guns, in all variants (autopistol, stub revolver, hunter rifle etc).

A weapon class is defined by its ammunition.
The solid class uses conventional ammunition, whereas the others use sci fi stuff. It's the counterpart of the primitive melee class.

Yeah, no. Bolters are not solid projectile weapons. You can see this info on the weapon's stat window you know?

Not directly related but am annoyed that "exotic" weapons don't get a typed. Also bolters lore wise aren't solid regardless, it's not a machine gun; it's basically an automatic personal sized rocket launcher.

Reread the first sentence of the post you quoted again. Multiple times if necessary.
