Pro/Cons : killing Idira
Hi everyone,

I just reach a point in the game where i can choose to kill Idira because of her crazyness. I really want to let Argenta fulfill her dream of ending her heretic life since i'm on a full dogmatic run and i don't use the characters much but as always in this type of game, i'm afraid to loose some quest and usefull stuff.

Is Idira important for the rest of the game ?

A team without her will stay viable ?

I'm at the beginning of the second act and I plan to play : MC / Cassia / Argenta / Abelard / Pasqal / Yrliet. Is it viable, or should i add a psyker in it ?

Honestly, i gave a sniper to argenta and i use Cassia/Mc to give her extra turn and she kill everything in front of her. Pasqal and abelard are just here to aggro some of the mob but Argenta do 80 pourcent of the worh herself....

Never liked her anyways. She went crazy, Argenta shot her in the head, end of story. My navigator and inquisitor are pretty much doing everything and never missed her one bit.

My only psyker has been Heinrix. I find that giving the Navigator stuff on Cassia is more than enough on the "magic" stuff. Just pelt them with bullets :)

"Full" dogmatic with xenos pet? You're funny :)

to OP - yes, you can be murder-hobbo and kill your story companions. You're going to lose her quest in Act4 and that's all.

She hears the Voices. The Voices speak the Truth. LiStEn tO tHe tRuTh!

She drops tasty and cryptic plot nuggets as you progress the chapters. And she will sound so hApPy once you complete her companion quest in a particular way. What's not to love about Idira?

I keep Indira for 1 thing : mental damage on tanky targets/bosses...
Didn't reach the dialogue to kill her yet, but I'm Iconoclast, will let her live

Aside from few ambushes she's predicting everything else is just a banter.

She completely lost control and almost submit to the Warp. For psyker it mean she will be consumed by Chaos very soon. So basically she's a ticking bomb in worst possible place - on board of voidship.

That's what we love about Idira.

I keep her for 1 other thing: Avoiding ambush rounds.
She's an interesting characters and keeps me on my toes during combat. Turns out I quite enjoy that, so she's one of my main party members.
You'll miss one quest later if you kill her, but that gives no alignment points I think so it's just some loot and experience you're missing out (and not much, I think it's only one encounter?), and maybe her advice on some colony projects.

I dunno why people are hating her so much. She's a poor soul struggling with her powers that are gonna kill her soon. She's acting her unsanctioned psyker role well. As for her summoning demons -it's free xp. If you don't like it there are talents to mitigate it, or you can go the other way around and build her talents around thriving in peril.
And compared to stunts some other companions had done she's pretty hamless. Killing her for summoning Theodora's ghost sure is one way to play dogmatic, but I find it ridiculous. Let her be, she's very useful in combat and gives auguries.

She has proven herself unclean, purge her its the way of things

You lose her quests but if you are doing a purity run she gets purge, along with xenos and such Gotta think like a nazi for that run. Remember your not playing a good guy

By that logic, you must murder Cassia once she starts effecting the crew...or Pasquel, when he lies about what happens to a certain piece of technology. They're all unclean and on the edge, it's 40k

Actually if you are going that route, you are. Dogmatic alignment simply means you're doing evil and morally questionable deeds to prevent chaos and the corruption from spreading. You're not killing her because you want to - you're doing it because of all the terrible options, granting her a quick death is the the best one.

In short, even if you're trying to be a good guy, there's sometimes no way around being a total bastard for the sake of humanity.

You should probably blow up your entire ship just to be sure. Her unclean feet walked the decks. She talked to people. She even left a mess in the breakroom and lied about it.
Better safe than sorry.
