Act 4 Heretic issues
So I've gotten the two pieces of the blade, have a Chaos shrine in my quarters, assembled the blade at the shrine, got my Hereticus to level 4 (through Toy Box, admittedly), and yet both Uralon and the Edge of Daybreak still tells me to get bent. Am I missing something here? Because both guides online and the Heretic mission tells me I should have the option to side with them at this moment, and yet I'm constantly forced to kill them.

Any help, or even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ step by step explanation, would be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ helpful, because I genuinely don't feel like finishing the game right now if all my hard work as a Heretic was for nothing.

I think I was correct, something to do with having Calcazar confront your heresy is important to the Call of the Edge quest. This time, upon reaching the 'Iron World' it actually updated the quest. I then rushed through using the toybox to the end of the planet and this time things seemed to trigger correctly. It ended with getting the Edge of the Irrevocable this time.
One last note though, any advice on not losing my companions due to heresy, but still continuing down that path? I know it's cheesing it, but still. To note, I am fine using ToyBox for this.

i personally gave up on this ♥♥♥♥ and uninstalled. Got blocked from my heretical path by FAILING CHECK on stealing 2nd piece of sword from inquisitor. And now I'm heretic4, 3 companions left me and Uralon still wants to beat my ass
Tried playing with ToyBox, adding pieces, activating different quest stages - nothing helps. Im not replaying Commorragh for the third time
feel u bro

So some of your companions need to officially leave the group when meeting Calcazor for this whole shindig to trigger correctly?

Sorry I'm late to answer, Christmas day and all that. Anyway, I think the trigger is the same and because it's part of the same cutscene, you may be unable to separate them normally. Basically, a certain level of heretic will prompt Calcazar to express disapproval and imply the next part of the story is what you must do to redeem yourself, (rather than, at least without heretic, it is just what he expects of you since you're such an honest fellow) and right after this, as part of the same conversation it seems, those who disapprove of your heresy in your party will leave. (Yrliet, the inquisition guy, the big guy, Argenta, I forget if there's anyone else because I rushed through it just now)
I will be testing if it's possible, through the toybox, to alter my 'heretical' rank right after prompting Calcazar to express his disapproval, and in turn avoid the party leaving. I'll have that done in a few minutes, maybe.
Edit: After a good bit of testing and messing around with stuff, having the removed companions at all, at least while on Eufrates II, prevents the progression of the Call of the Edge quest. It's still possible that maybe having only Argenta or only Yrlet works, as my last test was with them both together, and it still breaks the Call of the Edge quest.

How did you manage to keep those companions though? Any idea what caused that problem to happen in 1st place

Well, I can confirm that you can't have any of them in your party. Yeeted the Interrogator dude first chance I got, never saved the Space Wolf and killed the Eldar for betraying me. Only Argenta was left in my group. But after I used Toybox to boost my Corruption, Argenta glitched out and will not leave my party when I meet with the Inquisitor. Consequently, can't progress further with Uralon and the others.

That was messing with the toybox for me.

Adding my questions to this:

How does one complete the sword? There's the sword hilt and the meteorite shard, right? I got the altar, but all I could get was the 3 Temp HP.

is it literally I made one Iconclast decision and it prevented me from doing what I wanted?

You get two sword shards, one looks like the hilt the other looks like the middle of the blade, and when bringing them to the altar you do a little shard absorby thing, can't remember what that does. Then the altar tells you you'll find the third shard on the 'Iron World'. The name of that is Eufrates II.

Thanks! This helped out a lot. Realized the game somehow deleted the 2nd shard (or I miss clicked somewhere). Added it back with Toybox and was able to complete the sword.

Now, I defeated ||The Changer of Ways|| but the quest still is saying I need to choose my path, say the name, and offer up a sacrifice.....yay.

The same problem. Has it been fixed with the new patch? I can't find save before the dialogue starts...

Had to do the same, with the toybox because the heresy points were simply not enough to progress, but I was able to name the edge of daybreak, despite I used toybox to pump myself from 3 to 4.
Have you released the demons on the dark eldar city?

Dropping my two cents here. Got the exact same issue but managed to side with Uralon and Edge of Daybreak.

I merged the first two shards at the altar. Also blew up drukhari city in act 3.

Here are what I did:
1. Before going back to Footfall and meeting Calcazar, toybox myself to herectic 5.
2. Toybox myself the first two blade shards. (Not sure if needed)
3. Go to Footfall and meet Calcazar. Calcazar should confront you and the inquisitor, Argenta, Yrliet and Ulfar should leave. DO NOT add any of them back until the siege is complete. Also uncheck Toybox's include former companions in dialogue options.
4. Go to Eufrates II and do the war council. During the council there should be a voice speaking to you in your head.
5. Land and start the siege. After meeting Ularon the first time, there should be a voice speaking to you in your head when talking to the space marine.
6. Proceed as usual until meeting Ularon again. Then there should be an option to speak the forbidden name.
7. Before finishing the battle of sacrifice, complete the quest objectives in Toybox until "Choose your fate" or something like that
8. Finish the fight, summon birdie and pick if you want to side with them or not. Either option is bugged and will not progress the quest (it will only give you this objective but not completeing it). So I just completed it with Toybox, but that does not complete the quest which is wierd.
9. I added the companions who left back after visiting Footfall again. But I guess as long as you have left Eufrates II it is okay to add them back.

My Argenta's companion quest still progresses after she left for some reason tho.

Has anyone managed to complete call of the edge? I didn't need to cheat with toybox for any of the steps, I simply played normally but the final step of act 4 (submit or become champion) doesn't complete for me, even going into act 5
