About Argenta (and Rate of Fire)
Very simple question here but... Idk I'd like to hear people opinions.

I'd like to use Argenta as a Bolter Burst user (yeah, I know, very unique and original).

Thing is, how do you choose your Bolter guys, between Dmg Range and Rate of Fire?

Let's say, for the sake of this exemple, we have 2 Bolters, Bolter A and Bolter B:

-Both have the same recoil, let's say 10.
-Bolter A have a Rate of Fire of 4. Bolter B have a Rate of Fire of 6!
-But Bolter A Dmg Range is 15-21. And Bolter B is 10-14...
-I don't care about Armor Pen because I have tons of options to put ennemies armor at 0 anyway.
-Range is the same.

They should do the same amount of damage right? Or is Rate of Fire better because you have more "chances" to crit, even if it's for less.

Am I looking at the same weapon, or is there clearly a superior choice?

I'd give her a heavy stubber and a [heavy] flamer (there is also a normal one with toxic & fire damage - so I start with a flamer pistol, upgrade to two-handed-flamer, upgrade to heavy two-handed flamer, "downgrade" to two-handed toxic flamer). With damage increase perks on cooldown she wreaks havoc on close and mid-range.

Heavy Bolter goes to Ulfar & Irida.
I've got her rocking a two-handed bolter as a primary, and her backup as a chainsword + hand flamer, for that Adeptus Soriatus drip. It doesn't hurt that you can pick up some pretty rock solid standard bolters for her to use, where as the only heavy bolter I've found so far are either Heretical, or do a fraction of the per bullet damage of the good bolters I've found.

I'm not exactly a math genius, but I'd go for higher RoF between the two. How often, after all, are you single-shotting, except when it's by the Heroic Moment that gives you single shots equal to RoF which then evens it out anyway?

But more hits means more chances to benefit from things like Master Tactician's Inspire which is flat damage added to each hit, a bigger benefit from Soldier's Muzzle Velocity (+RoF damage on first shot in a burst), and once you get into heavy weapons, a bigger benefit from Breaking Point (flat +2 to damage per hit).

I believe if you're going Dogmatic there's also a 'crits set enemies on fire' thing, so you know. More shots, more hits, more chances for a crit and thus burninate.

I didn't thought of the Tactician buffs and all but it makes sense! Thanks for the insight!

I've had good experience with the heavy bolter for her actually - it does a lot of damage based on high rate of fire and it doesn't run out of bullets easily. Switched to a storm bolter and thought, hmm, I'm not sure if this is really better...

Just to throw a wrench into things, a lot of people also build Argenta as an Arch Militant though, which means you'll be make a single shot every second attack...

I think with the current bug that causes burst attacks to give you a stack of versatility per hit, higher fire rate still wins out though. Although obviously then you need to be worried about deflection causing servitors and things to be essentially immune to her attacks.
