Is escort ship perpetual?

I just got an escort ship as a reward from one of the projects.
Now I wonder what happens if it gets destroyed in a battle? Will I lose it for good, or am I going to get another one in next battle?

I haven't gotten it but I've seen people say it shows up in every battle. Which is good because it mostly just absorbs an attack and dies.

It's an escort, that's its job lol

It's an actual escort with it's actual weaponry, unlike the supped up on steroid escort we have as a player. Does well enough all considering that all it has is Macro canons.
