Consorting with xenos is for heretics (including iconoclasts), and isn't something I did by choice. There was one spoiler situation where you had no choice to or it was a game over.
Give me psi rating.
i have it, though it's just from an iconoclast talk option with winterscale(actually i'm pretty sure it's a normal talk option where i just don't burn it immediately), it's like a 30-45 dmg base las sniper called the eye of hecaton, that when fired gives you 5mp and doesn't use your movement when you fire. however, it's not an iconclast item per se, as anyone can use it and doesn't gain any benefit from higher levels. the only item i use that requires iconoclast gives +10 to all skills if you have atleast a level or two of it.
Does this sniper have burst fire? That's the stage of the game where burst fire weapons just crap all over snipers to the point where there's no reason to touch a single shot sniper.
no, but it's given the yrliet the ability to do 1k dmg per shot at any range and not have to worry at all about allies being in the way. (it also made the assassin ability to fire at people and do only 25% of the normal dmg still just one shot plenty of enemies)
I had at the same time argent with a heavy stubber and yrliet felt more consistent since she was far away from the frontlines. i just got her a heavy bolter in act 4 finally and plan to see if this dynamic changes.
There's a few passives that give you a bonus every time you attack, and those actually apply "per tick of damage". So you start 100% critting with stacked crit damage bonuses pretty fast, and if you got hammer of the emperor buff (I got a sanct-soldier) along with concentrated fire, and get an officer-master tactician to offload inspiration along with the bonus turn, you start to do really crazy numbers. There was one time the damage tab said 686-688 damage, and the shots actually ticked for 1600, which is nuts because this was a 6-9 damage stubber.
pyro synergizes really well with melee but melee isnt necessary, they are fun in balanced way, but sparks of the greater flame being bugged is very sad
telekinesis as others have said was removed, telepathy is covered by idira
and also as others have said, currently dogmatic psykers get the best psy rating cause of a certain colony project helmet u can get rather early, tho sanctic psykers dont really care as they mostly scale off of resolve(which is best boosted by a tactician's linchpin)
i have no doubt in burst fire's abilities, as i've expeirenced it, i just found yrliet to be more consistent since i rarely have to even move her.
Melee has the same mechanic as sniper rifle that all depending on your perception stats.
The main reason why to have your own telepathy is that if soldier they get to attack twice.
Operative convert strength into intelligence. You get later a choice to make intelligence stack damage. Something to think about that even Idira can be converted into a melee psyker. Pascal is already set for intelligence melee. Intelligence increase amount of exploit-stack given when using exploit.
Psykers gets intelligence skill. Not much synergy but hunter gains some intelligence talents and perception checks and they don't gain penalties on melee attacks as it only occur on Ballistic skill.
