telekinesis and pyromancy

they're the 2 disciplines not covered by companions and i think my next game will be with a psyker, does anyone know what these 2 ability sets are like?

There is no telekinesis. Are you talking about telepathy?

Pyromancy since you actually get to attack and Pyromancy increase your psi rating by 1

You ignite and it's permanent. It works even on bosses who respawn. It works on enemies with high dodge who you can't hit. You don't need to attack the afterward. They will die by their own. Yiu can even put yourself on fire to improve your melee attack.

hmmm, maybe i misread something i thought i saw a staff when i posted this that needed telekinesis and was a crush attack on it or something

i went and looked, there's a staff for sale by the pirate faction "staff of gravity control" that requires "[draft] telekinesis", it's level 29

There's a helmet that gives +1 psy rating for each rank of dogmatic. You can get +4 there (I'm not convinced it's possible to get rank 5 legit atm). There's a scarf that gives +2, there's a staff that gives +2. So at level 40ish you'd have 12 psy rating, and then another +1 if you set yourself on fire for 13 psy rating. There's a psy armor that can give you additional points for each perils of warp that triggers. With some damage buffs from sanct and/or master tactician, it's quite strong.

Yeah, the dogmatic gear is 50x better than the heretical or iconoclast gear in this game.

He's not that OP for offense to be honest, I mostly use him to put Warp Speed and Metabolic Overcharge (scales with high psy rating) onto a Navigator or burst gunner. I can give a 13 AP bonus turn to a character using metabolic overcharge, with 13 psy rating (set myself on fire for +1 more), which is suuuuper OP.

They exist, but "of note" is certainly debatable. There's none of them I saw that made me say "Gee, I wish I was iconoclast so I could use this"

winter gave you sniper, xenos sniper at which when you reach start of act4 its gonna be awesome, named eye of hecaton iirc. dogmatic burn it down . but other use it (or if you secretly heretic you ignore the dogmatic option you sneak)

I was over 100 points short of rank 5, if it's possible to reach that, then I missed more than just a few dogmatic choices, and I don't believe I did, because I picked every single dogmatic choice whenever they came up. Some of the choices give you as little as +3, but the max I ever got was +20 and those were only from [Dogmatic-Votary] choices.

i do wonder if you keep the eldar, you will have more chances at dogmatic choices later.

I don't remember getting that sniper, it's possible I got it but it didn't stand out enough to get my attention. The game gives you tons of trash.
