Favorite Starting Ship?

I'm personally quite fond of the Firestorm-Class Frigate. It looks aggressive and cool. Second favorite is the Falchion, which I like because of the huge useless angel statue on the back. It just screams 'opulent and excessive'. My least favorite is the sword-class, since it looks like a shoe with a face drawn on it.

even while selecting the firestorm, the drawn map of the ship -- and the "exact replica" of the dynasty flagship in the officer's quarters are of the sword class.

its not greed with owlcat, its just lazy. they could of done so much with this game.

I'm using the Firestorm, I love it to death but I mostly chose it because it looks cool. I wish I had a bigger ship, but beggars can't be choosers.

Everybody with access to the other 2 ships is, by definition, not a beggar.

No I mean like a battleship, something BIG. But then it'd probably be too strong.

Grand Cruiser. Frigate (what we have)->Light Cruiser->Heavy Cruiser->Battlecruiser->Grand Cruiser (what Winterscale has).

We get the loudout of a cruiser. Canonically escorts are 1 prow + 1 dorsal, 2 dorsal or 2 prow mounts.

Except our "Frigate" in fact have more weapons then Light Cruisers and able to use Battleship-grade components. Pure gem of archeotech.

But I agree - it should be called at least light cruiser.

"Beggars can't be choosers" means if you're asking for something for free, you can't expect what you get to be exactly what you want.

By definition the people that have access to the other 2 ships ARE NOT BEGGARS because we PAID for the ships. That makes us paying customers. As paying customers we can ask for whatever we want to. You're only a beggar that can't choose if you expect it for free.

I only have the two options. I went with the basic one on my current main character... its.. idk. maybe i just feel a frigate is kinda weak.
