And this 1000 damage is not even a critical hit. She also had blood haze stim, for additional +100% critical damage, if i need it.

Unlike argenta, which can only deal with single targets, and takes like 3-4 bursts to 'ramp up' to decent damage, idira deals mental damage, which i believe armor doesnt resist, and this mental damage chains from one overkill target to another - pain channeling skill.

So, you run up to a group, hit them with shriek AoE. Damage is chained all over. Whole room dies.

Also shriek stuns, which comes in handy vs tougher enemies.

Argenta is good. Idira is just as good, and is also a healer/buffer.

real test is winterscale fight in act 4. Argenta struggles. Too glass-cannon'y
Idira is even more of a glass cannon, but she did much better against them.

Cassia can do like 1800.
The thing that makes it egregious on argenta is that its a no brainer to do it, it takes literally no skill or thought, slap a heavy bolter on her and call it a day.

Argentas OPness is due to the fact versatility is broken and not stacking correctly. so you can abuse it.

Psykers get crazy stupid powerful late game, just like all spell casters, same with cassia.

Yeah i dont understand this "She has to ramp up." No she does not lol, out the freaking gate shes doing like 20 damage a shot, against thing with like 70% armor on, and you can get bolter expert for even more pen so your just turned into a laser beam.

Hell if you use pasqals ability on her to reduce the recoil and use the ability where she gets double the rate of fire its hilariously insane how much she pumps out.

at level 42 argenta is doing around 400 damage a hit from her 12 round bursts. not kidding.

Support her with a bio psych officer - that's two extra turns every round from just that one officer.

The key for any shooters is using a good tank and locking the rear zone to lower prio targets with a strategist. that's what I found anyhow.

i've tried everything and archmil with supporting officers etc. is just so op that it feels like the encounters were designed around it. 12000 hp bosses?

It really is grotesque
Nothing is op when everything is op. Frankly the most op thing right now is just officers in general they can turn someone into a monster. Arch mils especially to the point where you can kill the entire game before turn 1 even really starts.

argentas abilities scale off versatility and hits, and you get versatility and hits by shooting. You need a few shots off at base damage, before subsequent shots scale up to 300 per hit criticals.

Why does everyone talk about Argenta while Main Character Pyro-Soldier-Arch Militant with Fortress World, Blazing Inferno and Melt Armor is much better Burst spammer.... Argenta is not even fully optimized. If you want maximum Arch Militant power, just make MC one and hire more custom Officers...

Anyway, OP - so what? Another broken thing in this game? I went blind in first playthrough (Unfair) and my Sanctic Psyker specialized in Resolve Stacking + Hammer and spamming Wrath of The Emperor could hit AOE for 1k-1,5k damage too from single staff cast.... And I didn't even grasp game mechanic in full. So can main MC operative assassin deal 500+ with one sword hit, out of like 6.... so can Arch Militant pur out 4-5k damage from single burst, Cassia can burst down whole map on her turn sometimes etc.

Like game can be broken in so many different ways.

All you need to make one Main Damage Dealer and put 3 Officers in team, even 4 if you can, save 1 spot for Old Man made only for pure tanking just so he can stand in middle of map in case enemies will get their turn.

Why would he ever get his turn with 3-4 Officers in your party if we are at min-maxing....

That's why I dumped her for Yrliet.

It really is the Officers and Grand Strategists that allow for all the ramping damage but again, when enemies have like 2000 hp, what is one suppose to do? Duke it out with unbuffed soldiers and warriors?

I guess Owlcat knows exactly what kind of damage we can do with buffs and they assumed we would use it cuz no other way to win some fights.

Argenta killed the final boss in 1 round. That's 14k health, 250% armor, 120% dodge and 50 deflection on Daring.

So yes, she's overpowered.
sadly argenta never learn the virtue of 200 WP Never stop shooting and Never stop believing
Nothing will convince me that Argenta is not the most OP after I watched her end the game in one turn.

MC as Fortress+Pyro+Soldier+Arch Militant is way more OP than Argenta. MC is more OP than any companion bar Cassia because we can't be Navigator.
