The Price of Power bugged?
Apparently you are supposed to be able to resolve the quest peacefully by having Cassia and the aeldari come to an agreement. However that option is missing for me. I can either let them execute Cassia or fight the space elves, nothing else. The dialogue itself is also bugged.

Encountering the same issue. I read in an online guide that a peaceful solution should be possible but it doesn't seem to be the case for me. Maybe that's supposed to happen if you fail the previous encounter in the quest (the one inside the painting where Tisiphone tries to posess Cassia) but I'm pretty sure i didn't fail that. No idea really.

Same, I'd like to know what the trigger is for having the peaceful dialog.
Rad Dec 21, 2023 @ 1:06pm
Ok I've kinda figured it out, depending on choices you make you'll increase Cassia's hidden Freedom and NotMe values (visible in Toybox https://i.imgur.com/RTUxZq1.png ), and if your NotMe score is higher than Freedom then Cassia is far more aggressive in this quest and you CANNOT resolve things peacefully with the Aeldari.

I would love to confirm that, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to display these particular values in Toybox.

I was having trouble finding flags too. You need to go to the Search n' Pick tab and then search "Cassi".

My bad I should've been more specific.

The next problem for me is that there should also be a romance specific dialog option for you to suggest Cassia leaves behind being a Novator if you're on the romance path, I've tried messing with all the various romance flags but I cannot seem to get this dialog to show up for me, I wonder what flag or set of values it's looking for.

Alright, my freedom value had indeed been lower (1) than the NotMe value (2) and I was able to complete the quest peacefully after switching them around. I think I kind of dislike the writing here. I also went down Cassia's romance path and can't really make sense of how the decisions I made in prior conversations with her have resulted in these values and her subsequent aggressive behaviour in that quest.

It's because whoever wrote Cassia did so poorly and the game is buggy to the point it did not give us a proper layout of educational stuff. I'm playing an Iconoclast that is very much about diplomacy and not going for quick power grabs, and somehow that means I'm grabbing power everywhere I go and she's dismissive of my attempts to persuade her otherwise.

The sole reason I let her live in my first playthrough is to see what happens if you let her keep the thing. Her getting uppity at me for not condoning torture was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ though.

This quest is bugged for me too, but in a different way. I was able to get the dialog option wherein I could persuade the Harlequins to come to an agreement, and I passed the persuasion check, but after that the quest panel did not say that the quest had been completed, it still said that I had to still figure out what was going on. There were no dialog options with the other characters or NPCs there. They all just stand there, and the Harlequins when spoken to say that our "performance" was concluded and that we needed to leave the planet, so the quest just remains uncompleted.

In addition to this, there is no visible shuttle there when we land, there is rock wall that we cannot demolish despite having the charges and the demolish skill to do so, and Cassia's personality in this exchange seems to be partly hers and partly that of Tissiphony, even though I saved Cassia from Tissiphony during the warp jump. So the quest seems to be bugged in multiple ways.

Has anyone else here experienced this same bug? Has anyone here accomplished this quest without Yrliet being in the party? That does seem to throw a lot of quests off as far as I have heard.

Just ran into the bug myself and figured out what to do.
See the Toybox variables above in the thread? BEFORE the conversation, go into Toybox, under Pick & Choose (you may need to check several categories on the right for the results to show up) then decrease Cassi_NotMe so it's below Cassi_Freedom's value. (I assume Freedom has to be at least at 1)
Then enter the conversation.

They really need to make the Nod Wordlessly option in the Dargonus event to be clearer that you are giving Cassia's right to speak, hence Freedom.

Or hell, give more Freedom point, why the heck do the other options where you romance Cassia and tell her to be strong do NOT give Freedom point?

OK, I have installed ToyBox now. I will try that tomorrow and see what happens.

How do you display value of this traits? Im new in using this mod, the only thing I can search is "Cassia_NotMe, Cassia_Freedom etc. no "cassi_, also I cannot pick value only buttons "complete" and "unstart"

YES! It worked! Thanks! I made the conversation go exactly the way that it should!
