Where are the seers, one was taken out of the cage, 2 seemed to have died in the flask, where are the rest?

One in a laboratory tube (dies moments after being taken out no matter what you do), one in the not-chess board (don't touch the pieces), 3-4 fused together and barely alive on an operating table, one in the cage suspended above the room where you fight a bunch of dudes (the only one who's really survived).

I think I found everyone except the chessboard, where is it?

There's a small square area between sets of steps, it looks fairly innocuous but you should get a dialogue when you walk onto it

What badger vortex said, right between where the fused-together farseers are, and the fight area. There's two sets of steps down from there, one leads to the farseer in a tube, the other to the chessboard, then both of them have another set of stairs down into the fight area.

Is there any video of this on youtube so that one can see where they all are and go through each farseer one by one, angle by angle to make sure that you have got them all? So far I ahve not been able to find one.

It's a pretty small area, they are hard to miss. Maybe the chessboard requires an Awareness check?

I picked up the chessbaord and added it to my inventory. The game still says that I have to rescue all the farseers. Does this quest only update if you make it back to Janus while carrying the chessboard?
