You CAN'T max trade reputations if spreading too wide (only 1 + navy possible)
So here is the situation I found myself in when coming to the point of no return at the end of act 4

I "focused" on Drusians to get the power armor eventually (the feat I gave my rogue trader in act 1 as I didn't knew that I never get it back then) and ... well.. not even close. I'm missing 10 levels of reputation despite building most colony projects in their favour and despite having a mostly docmatic character.

Kind of disappointing - but the lesson seams to be:
  • focus on ONE main trading "house" for maxing out
  • trade spare items in another secondary house (which you never get maxed)
  • Imperial Navy can always be maxed as it has it's own items (but it's not needed as one can find better items for the ship when doing missions / colony projects)

That second point is best described with an example:
Drusians obviously don't want xeno artefacts or heretic artefacts. Fellowship of the Void take them. But as you pump every other item into Drusians, you can get Fellowship of the Void only so far.

All in all - big letdown. I really wanted those power armors :steamsad: :steamthumbsdown: :steamthumbsdown:

I basically pumped everything into the trading system and only kept a few items for my party. (so all those stacks of flak jackets, las guns ... were turned into cargo) I also did all colony projects and all sidequests.

Hard to tell - you can check how much your full cargo hold will net you - just open the trading interface and selecting "Hide Untradable" and hit the "Show Tradable" button. This will sum your current tradable cargo hold value. Max needed points for Drusian max rank should be around 110k (haven't found reliable sources so far).

Mmh.. it seems like selling to all factions is the major problem here - as the "costs" for increasing the reputation per faction increases the higher the reputation is with other factions. :lunar2019shockedpig:

mb this is a bug? Mb game suppose to increase reputation only with one faction, but some error makes it so that everyones reputation requirement gets increased.

Not being able to max out reputation for every faction is fine. But its even really hard to do that for 2 factions, you would need to optimize pretty much everything.

That is a huge issue for me. And I dont know why I cant fix it mnyself. You cant just take 10 1% items out of the 110 one to start to create another cargo because you cant start a new one manually. There`s such a huge gap between what the AI could do do maximize profits by getting as close as possible to 100% and what it actually does.
That, and the fact that you can habe a whooping 130 in commerce, and it wont do ♥♥♥♥.

Checking my full cargo now and pouring everything into Drussians net me 53k at level 15 at near the end of Act 2. If its 110k, its double what I have right now

I am a fan of the space combat, if I could use that and get rep for the various factions, I could see it be a somewhat fun grind, like random encounter or missions or whatever. Though I seen people complain that the space combat is something that don't enjoy at all, so maybe not a good solution.

Try to trade only with them - there seems to be a dependency system in place which makes it more costly to upgrade trade ranks the more factions you are trading with ...

In chapter 5 you can't buy anything anymore. But here is a list: https://roguetrader.wiki.fextralife.com/Hieronymus+Doloroso (The Modified Artificer Armour is for the rogue trader, needs 105 profit factor)

It's level 29. I'm working on a exp list - but it may take me while (seems no one has published a list like that)

act 5 is already too late. You need max(29) rank with drusians to get one.

to be honest something feels off with the rep system, either not enough items in the game, or the values are way to high, being able to only max 1 rep seems really really stupid. I would expect being able to max 2 reps easy then like half way to a third.

I think the rep system is balanced around the 2 DLC which has more content and places to explore

Even then im not buying it, those are not slated to come out until jun and december of next year, which they say they add 15 hours of game play each, which truth be told i imagine is more like, 9 hours each, and the disparity and lack of rep items i dont think is able to be made up between those 2 dlc.

Yeah the only DLC i bought from Owlcat are the roguelite DLC that allow me to build custom parties in a procedurally generated environment. I hope they do one for RT too. At least it will be less buggy
