You CAN'T max trade reputations if spreading too wide (only 1 + navy possible)
So here is the situation I found myself in when coming to the point of no return at the end of act 4

I "focused" on Drusians to get the power armor eventually (the feat I gave my rogue trader in act 1 as I didn't knew that I never get it back then) and ... well.. not even close. I'm missing 10 levels of reputation despite building most colony projects in their favour and despite having a mostly docmatic character.

Kind of disappointing - but the lesson seams to be:
  • focus on ONE main trading "house" for maxing out
  • trade spare items in another secondary house (which you never get maxed)
  • Imperial Navy can always be maxed as it has it's own items (but it's not needed as one can find better items for the ship when doing missions / colony projects)

That second point is best described with an example:
Drusians obviously don't want xeno artefacts or heretic artefacts. Fellowship of the Void take them. But as you pump every other item into Drusians, you can get Fellowship of the Void only so far.

All in all - big letdown. I really wanted those power armors :steamsad: :steamthumbsdown: :steamthumbsdown:

I basically pumped everything into the trading system and only kept a few items for my party. (so all those stacks of flak jackets, las guns ... were turned into cargo) I also did all colony projects and all sidequests.

Did you turn as much as your inventory to trade goods as well?

Updated the OP - I basically pumped everything into the trading system and only kept a few items for my party. I also did all colony projects and all sidequests.

I suppose if you went full maniac grinding by jumping around the warp and baiting the "Daemons invade the ship!" (and specifically got Nurgle/Khorne/Maybe Slaanesh? But not Tzeentch as it has only daemons) variant, you could farm some weapons and armor off them to trade.. And do it for a year or so and you might be able to max all reps. :')

But good to know that during a 'natural' playthrough you can't get everything, thank you.

Same. And would like devs to reduce rep prices - they're crazily high.

P.S. Profit Factor costs over 100 per item also have very little sense lore-wise, even if we're able to fulfill them.

yeah well explorator you could fill it VERY SLOWLY by putting grenade, medkits from colonly refill and it can bugged out needing to reload

but so far pirate has the best thing imo, colony improvement at 100k mark only giving 2500 in return is definitely weird as final upgrade, while other get around 20k mark

also if you just blindly put item in cargo, i hate it when the auto ignore everything with 110% value and try to make a new one and refuse to split the 102% even tho it can be put elsewhere. oh you have 70 stack of 1%, let me put that in one place and then make another stack of 110% for you... i swear i never let ai handle my xenotech

Nothing good to hear that we're unable to max even a single faction, without having a post-game knowledge. It will be okay if full shop was unlocked since Act 2 - but you never able to guess crazy prices you will need to pay for Act4 equipment. That's purely bad design.

Okay, it's not "good" that we can't max it - but it's good to KNOW that, so we don't all have to find out the hard way. That's what I was trying to say.

anyone getting baited into thinking pirate item is bad because you cant see the full list in act2?, pretty use anything beyond carnage is hidden in act 2 lol

I was baited into investing into another faction in the end of Act 2 because "I don't need remaining items" >_<

A little experiment - I turned in every tradable item I had left, and here is the result:

So I squeezed out 4 ranks from the Explorators and 1 from the Kasballica Mission. None from the Drusians ( :steambored: )
