Anyone else was disappointed we never got to use the Forgefiend as an "(not really)animal companion" fit for combat in our party? Maybe you're missing the presence of a (Chaos) Dreadnought in the Rogue Trader's arsenal? Or are you waiting for that Penitent Engines you ordered on Warpazon that never arrived? Maybe you wanted a souvenir from the Dark City and are dying to own your very own Jetbike? Perhaps you even have the desire to utilize the cute, little Cronos Parasite Engine Marazhai gifted you during his romance during ground combat, rather than having it stored away in your bedroom for special nights?

Then you are in the right thread! Using our own feet to walk is an affront against any lazy Rogue Trader in good standing sitting!

Yep... which leaves our Rogue Trader with just the landing shuttle, our voidship and a much smaller voidship sidekick (once the relevant colony project is completed) as far as vehicle/mechs are concerned.

It is kind of impressive just how many missed opportunities Owlcat passed by that could have made ground combat more interesting.

You can't buy Imperial Knights, Rogue Trader or not. You just can't. Even if you steal it you won't survive synchronisation with throne mechanicum. Imprints of previous pilots as well knights machine spirit will fry your brain.
I wonder if a noble pilot can become a rogue trader though.

Freeblade Knights exist so why not? Though trying to pull a Pilot/Knight from a Knight House would probably start a feud between the Rogue Trader Dynasty and Imperial Knight House.
