Jae's Bureocratic woes
Spoiler Alert obviously.

After trying to do the quest in act 2 a certain bureocrat had the audacity to mention that I was technically not officially the rogue trader yet and pointed out various technical crimes I was currently committing when I tried to push my weight around.

I thought ok, reload and come back once I am the Rogue Trader, expecting I could cut the line then (Big Nope on that front).

That said, the real problem I currently have is that when i click the hand symbol to wait in line either nothing happens or a single window with some text pops up and then nothing happens after that. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

(Also a mod where I can point out that I am a Rogue Trader, this is my planet and that I have a writ signed by the Emperor himself that says that I speak in HIS NAME would be nice.)

The administratrum don't answer to rogue traders.

Just let Jae "do what she has in mind" and you'll eventually clear it.

Just make sure to check what you're giving people to leave, one of them gives a woman with a hat store 3 of your profit factor lol.

I may not have been clear enough. I started the event chain in act 2 and got the interactions you mentioned.

Now after reloading in act 3 the event chain won't start.
So, I actually did the "wait my turn" thing, and the quest locked after that. Can't talk to any of the people. Sadly, I think it's just bugged for me now.

Not sure what's causing this to bug out for some folks. I chose to order my servants to prepare a more suitable waiting area, then chose to wait patiently. The quest progressed without bugging out for me.

I did this got comfortable and then set Jae and Idira loose on the crowd, only one stabbing!

It is pretty bugged at present. Choosing to shoot into the crowd usually fixes quest progression by letting the clerk you need to talk to actually spawn. Don't know if there's any downside to this solution, but it can be a bit jarring.

I managed to complete the quest after reloading and this time actually taking Jae with me in the party. Despite her being mandatory she was not in the party the first time I tried the quest. Do not know how that happened and I certainly did not check for it because, you know, her being mandatory and I was certain I did include her in the party. After running around in circles looking for a trigger I had a lot of time to look at my party and went "Wait a minute...."

Yeah, the quest is also bugged for me. Can't progress.

First choosing to solve the problems of commoners got stuck and I had to reload.
Then I somehow got the waiting in line event to retrigger onboard my flagship after finishing the quest and returning to the ship. Same dialogue but then got stuck sitting on air after choosing to wait. After that every time I entered the ship I was permanently stuck sitting on an invisible chair. Saving&reloading and entering other locations didn't fix it so had to load an older save.
