Melting the ice planet

1.Found the ice planet. It says I need to about the local Mechanicus representative to get better auxpex. Can someone help me?
2. Where to get the idol for Frog Trader achievement?
3. How do you solve the bottomless pit ? To get the achievement?
4. Where is Salis Prime? in act 4? Or act 5? Because Act 2 map I didn't find the planet.

Yeah feels like it's still bugged. Did the contract, got the achievement, but then... nothing. No further acknowledgement or information about anything happening, it just never gets mentioned again.

If I recall correctly, the ice planet is relating to "Beholding the truth" rumor, which then leads to Melting the Ice Contract... I completed the contract as well, but the rumor never completed. So there's definitely something up. I'm going to try completing the contract outside the system and see if that triggers the planet shift differently.

sorry can someone tell me which planet that you melt the ice on? i did the contract and got the achievement but when i turn back to find the said planet, i got lost to find which one is it?

"Crossroads of a hundred dreams" system, Ice world (furthest planet to the upper left).

Definitely still bugged.

To get this, you'll want the "Eye of the Omnimessiah" equipped in act 4. Then scan, and you're given a prompt about melting the planet, which is a contract under your journal -> contracts. Once you complete the contract it feels like there should be something that happens after, but it's bugged and all I can do is sit there and stare at the same dialogue options. I just got to act 4, so I'm going to do a few missions and hope something shakes loose, but at this time this is a persistent bug.


There's also a bug, if you kill Hieromonius he's still alive on Footfall after. Definitely hoping future patches fix this game, cause it's amazing. Also can't wait for DLC.

I managed to scan it somehow in Act 2 (maybe higher tier Augur from Imperial Navy).
I melt it via Contract.

And then nothing, maybe it can be unlocked in Act 4 (it takes time to melt?).

Yeah, it's still bugged. Got the achievement, did the contract but when you go there, dialogue hasn't changed.

I hardly can find something that ISN'T bugged in Act 4.
After plenty of patches my main and side quests still don't have proper triggers, voidbridge cutscenes don't work, rumors don't complete properly, and I don't talk about skills and mechanics.

Of course I have bugged Ice planet too.

The only thing I can see changing after completing the contract "melting the ice" that the planet changes from an Ice World to a blue ball in the system map.
I guess they've planned to make this one into another colony of sorts?

Played around with Toybox. You're supposed to get 5 weapon mining place and a bunch of caches.

Fiddled around w/ the quest/rumor/contract triggers in toybox and there isn't any indication that a reward such as the one the other guy mentioned should be provided. Completing the rumor just causes the interactable icon on planet to be removed, and completing the contract has the same effect as just doing it normally, save the resource cost I suppose. Either way nothing else I could find seems to mention or tie back into this event.

For reference the quest is called "In the Footsteps of History" (Rumor) and "Melting the Ice" (Contract)

Given that, and the fact that the other guy didn't bother to actually answer the question about where he found that info, I'm gonna go out a limb and say he just made up a bunch of BS.
