Is unholy flesh bugged?

I've tried giving meat to the surgeon guy, and I've killed the mini boss where you find Abelard, but I still can't remove the affliction :(

IT seems to be bugged, let him die once, when he res's he will have a trauma, but the unholy flesh debuff should disappear
