Digital Delux Void Ship
I'm interested in this game but honestly, the different versions and all the DLC is very confusing. All in the game is just short of 100 bucks which is a hefty price... Sure, the season pass can be left out for a later date cutting 30 bucks from that 100 price tag but it leaves me with the main question:

What's the difference between void ships? Is it big? Is it small? Is it an entirely different ship you can choose? Is the entire ship both inside and outside totally different cosmetically or both cosmetically and in terms of layout? Or does it only show how the ship looks on the outside when on the world map travelling from zone to zone? It also mentions starting equipment and gear? So you get new gear for using it?

Is it worth it? I don't mind supporting the devs but I want to be made fully aware exactly what I'm getting out of the extra cash I'm putting down for it. There doesn't seem to be any video comparing the two...

Thanks!

So, what does it do? Does it change the ship completely or just cosmetically on the outside?

I believe I read that the starting gear for each ship varies slightly, but they have the same number of hardpoints so the rest of the difference is cosmetic.

So the layout is the same? Could someone post screenshots of how they both look differently? Little bit surprised they don't have a screenshot on the store page showing a side by side. I may buy the DDE version I think...

The ships are the same beyond a minor starting loadout difference and can equip the same stuff.

Mind you the story is written around the sword class. Meaning that book events depicting the ship won’t show the dlc variant.

I should probably mention that the deluxe ship is the Firestorm and that the Falchion was a pre-order only addition. Crew/ship size, weight are irrelevant and only there as flavour.

So, the interiors stay the same regardless of edition? The only thing the different ship variants do is reskin them in ship to ship combat and while moving from sector to sector on the world map?

So, the main room in the base ship will look identical to the main room in any of the other ships(Same curtains, same interior layout, same position of consoles, same pillars, walls and windows, etc.)?

only changes are cosmetics for combat/system map and starting equipment

the layout of the ship is tied to combat and event encounters so they're not remaking it for 3 variants of each encounter, the only stats for the ship that aren't tied to equipment are tied to upgrades you have to pay scrap for so they're not going to give 1 option better stats and make it the objective best option

so aye, it's all down to cosmetics for 2 things and what starting loadout you like best
