Valve Puzzle/Lower Deck Strike

I ended up moving up on, but are there hints, clues in the environment, for this? I looked around and saw nothing and no notes in my inventory. I kept playing a bop-it game with the valves and I kept being told "maybe another one will do something."

TSme of them are interactable.
With each one after another will be operatable. So it seems there is some movin around involved.
You are rewarded wit some items after the last interactable. I got some Grenades.

I went back to that save. I was able to hit a couple of them, but after that I just kept getting that annoying message. Sense it is just grenades, I'll move on. Thanks for the help.

You just run around and find the one where steam is coming out of it, then turn the valve and look for the next one. But yeah it's not THAT important as loot goes

if you look at the pipes near the valves they "correct" one to interact with will have steam coming out of it.

the "clue" is the first valve you interact with as it talks about "steam" but not getting to where it needs to go.

the loot itself isn't anything to write home about though.

I really thought those steam valves were intended for combat, not a puzzle. Glad I spotted this thread just as I was in that zone on my second run.

Okay for the curious, the box contains:
3 Force Grenades
1 Krak Grenade
3 Melta Charges
3 Multikeys
