Anyways, if you are iconoclast, your first slide after killing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ C'TAN SHARD is getting told that "lol lmao you were too nice to people so muh imperium of muh emprah of muhnkind invades you and turns people to being mindless savages again".
What is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ grimderp? At least heretical options are obviously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid - iconoclast gives a ton of benefits in game and in story instead, just to ♥♥♥♥ on you in the ending slides.
*sigh* imma go play Black Souls - at least "I AM GOING TO ALICE" simulator is good grimdark.

I don’t know but it is warhammer and as an iconoclast main player a lot of iconoclast choices do allow actual/potential heresy/chaos to spread. You want to help people but in this universe chaos is real and very much like an incredibly virulent disease. Also, it’s 40k, there’s not going to be a happy ending.

Also also, it might not have been a bad ending because you were iconoclast but because you missed something or you did something else wrong.

Iconoclast means to go against cherished beliefs and practices. The Imperium isn’t overly fond of change or things that go against religious dogma.

I think it would be a bit better if such utopia lasted for at least the Rogue Trader's whole lifespan (which thanks to Nomos and psychic powers could reach several centuries) and after that the story could imply that the Rogue Trader's kingdom of freedom might thrive one day thanks to Nomos even with the Koronos Expanse being sealed from the outside and the Rogue Trader no longer being around due to his/hers lifespan having been reached.

Warhammer is a grim setting for sure but its not like this game is canon to the Warhammer universe (I think?) plus having a potentially super kind MC helped by a C'tan of immense power can produce some unprecedented results.

LOL, since ending of Act 1 game tried to warn you that many Iconolast options are going to very, very bad outcome. But you was blind to warnings.

P.S. Did you even opened a character tab with alignments? It clear about being Iconolast is a heresy too.

Tzeentch could have helped against the Empire from behind the scenes for change's sake alone. He is the god of change after all so such stuff should be most welcomed by him even if serving the cause of good.

Strong emotions are the only thing that matters to the residents of the immaterium.

Having you “liberate” the expanse and for the people there to experience relatively good lives is not of any value to a chaos god. Having those people experience something good, and then something much worse is far more impactful and is how Tzeentch is sustained.
